god, the culmination of all of this is like walking in on your parents having sex, i almost wish we could go back to the time of innocence in which everyone thought the vision was amazing, brad was an mmo rockstar, and everquest was good on purpose instead of on accident, and wasn't a complete rip of DIKU mud. before i realized that Tunare was just the word nature scrambled.

when was "the Vision" awesome?
i was already ready to quit everquest by the fall of 99. i hit level 50 and there was nothing to do, i had my own formed guild so i wasnt going to quit my own guild. my grouping buddies were more casual than i so i had left them in the dust. shaman were plentiful and were regarded as experience leeches and non essential to the holy trinity. 2 things prevented me from quitting, the nightmare in kithicor and the opening of plane of hate. when word got out that those kithicor beasties started dropping decent armor (for the time) it caused a deluge of lv 40-50s to swarm into the zone, most of them got assraped, all of a sudden, shaman were in high demand and i found myself grouping with many many different people and got to know them.

not long after that some of those same people would form our first server PoH pickup raid i was lucky enough to go along. then we did other pickup raids such as Fear and naggy. eventually most of us would join Da`Kor or form other big guilds. if those 2 events didnt happen i wouldnt be here right now waxing nostalgic about that game. y'all never see me talk about WoW even though i played that game off and on for 5 years. they had no kithicor event and they certainly never had a community like everquest. the community and message boards like these were the real secret behind everquest's success

Okay, Fennin Ro = inferno, Xegony = oxygen, Rathe = earth, but I can never fucking remember Coirnav? WTF is that bullshit? That one must've been Brad's contribution.

Brad's team has invaded mmorpg. I just looked at the posters that had positive things to say about Pantheon and here is the result.

Sorry to disappoint you. Frenzic and Blazenfury have been my two handles since 1997 or so. From Aol to warcraft 3 lol. I've never met anyone else that used either handle, but it's funny you bring this up because I've had people in games randomly send me tells asking if I was Blazenfury from FoH and I always thought it was very odd as I've always been Frenzic on here. To directly answer your question, that Blazenfury is me and no I have not been touched by aliens lol...

If you have an account there, or want to make one, I'd love to see some positive noise from our community to populate that thread.

At some point, we are all going to have to decide if we will move forward from Pantheon's past. I respect your decision if you can't, or if there is more you are waiting to see before you can. The past really happened, mistakes were made and this community has been through a lot. There are still questions to be answered, Lore-related questions being the first of which I will address.

But the events surrounding the old team and their departure really need to be settled, and I think Brad does a good job of settling them in this thread. What do you think?

You can spin the 45k cash advance however you want to, bottom line is that it basically crushed the project. Almost the entire team left the project after that and all promise the game had vanished. Then we moved onto amatuer hour, followed by the Sparkle era of negative PR. We finally get to the current stage where there might be a talented gentlemen here or there, but overall this project took in 150,000 and has very little to show for it. This is of course my opinion, if you think they have shown 150k worth of work I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hard to tell what's true and what's false any more. For all I know all these negative things posted are all true, but personally I'm to the point of not caring that much about that. As long as Pantheon is completed and I don't hear reports that Aradune had to resort to sacrificing small puppies... I'm all for it if I have an awesome MMO to play!

He did sign an NDA, as did Nyrtix, but they pay contracts no heed. Is a NDA breaker who pretends they were deep on the inside a credible source? Up to you guys.

For the NDA, I didn't break anything. Your NDA was very specific about game information and builds. None of that was leaked, instead conversations between myself and some of the team were (Not game specific). I find it funny that you label me as never part of the team when I held the exact same position as Canadina, Kyndread, Nirrtix, BlueEyedGator, Multisync, ect. Surely these people were part of the team right?

I love Brad's posts.

Its so funny how one of Brad's great hurdles initially was convincing all of us neckbeards that the baggage and drama associated with his name was in the past and Pantheon would be a new and exciting chapter moving forward, and then pantheon IMMEDIATELY acquired new and exciting baggage, drama, and a "past" of it's own, outside of the realm of anything occurring before it. Like this would be just as bad if nobody knew about Bradguard McOxycontin.

Edit: It's adorable to see Brad trying to forumduel Frenzic. Frenzic, damn all of your precious "facts" and "logic".

It's just great seeing him show up again and pretend like what happen was no big deal. Ugh...let's move on so I can get back to stealing people's money...

It's no big deal to him because what else is there for him? I'm sure his reputation in the industry isn't so stellar and if he was to join some other development house what's he going to be, just another dev in a company who you'll only recognize if you see his name in the end credits? I sure the very thought of that is beneath him. He is Brad fucking McQuaid after all (lol).
