I really have no clue. He isn't online currently that I can tell, and hasn't posted anything in the mod forum about it, so for now we have speculation only.

Maybe he just feels the game is going nowhere, so there's no point to the thread anymore. Maybe he's tired of seeing it on the MMO forums. Only the gods and the person doing it knows at this point.
