Got a kick out of some of the streamers reactions that never played EQ. It definitely caught some of them off guard that you cant faceroll even conned trash mobs solo, or even with a full group.

I think the problem with people complaining about the graphics is that most alpha's and beta's now a days are feature complete and nothing graphics wise changes on release.

Game is in pre alpha, and people are bitching about the graphics. Guess none of you retards beta tested WoW then...

Blizzard has a massive stable of game developers and artists at its disposable and more importantly they have money. McQuaid is doing glorified telethons to put this game together (more realistically to fund his lifestyle) with a skeleton crew of people who must have been deemed unemployable by actual game studios, otherwise they wouldn't be working on his game. The game has been in development longer than WoW ever was and all they have to show for it is 2-3 hideous looking zones, an engine that hovers around 15 fps during combat and the exact same combat system as a game that was published when Bill Clinton was in office.

To further expand on how shit your analogy is, Vanguard looked and ran like shit in alpha. Vanguard looked and ran like shit in beta. It looked and ran like shit at launch. It looked and ran like shit years later. And Vanguard had an actual studio and Microsoft money behind it.

Brad does what shithead motherfuckers do when they want somehing completed with no money but have no idea to at least get the ball rolling themselves.

They basically scour the internet, or they come to him, to do free work because of the illusion of his God status.

You do work for Brad, than you are part of Brad, therefore you get all the "glory" of working on a solid game(brad games always drive traffic).

Its REALLY fucking easy for people with a history of success to drive man labor. Even if you have a history of failing but a solid history of obtaining Venture Capital.

The way Brad begs his way into getting people develop for him, is the same exact way anyone obtains free work for developers. Its just hella easy for him because of his history and nut huggers.

Ever since Monty left the team, theyve only been streaming one dungeon.

~~<<<<< just sayin

Once you get someone with talent, you lose them and you only have the things they built until you replace them.

Thats what im seeing

I did. From push one. WoW beta (push one) looked infinitely better than EQ, Vanguard, or Pantheon even then.

Force Gaming says "Are we to assume that all these mobs are going to be boss like" "it takes 5 of us to kill them"

Shit, F&F Alpha looked better.

Hard to compare though. Blizz learned early on that player input response times was going to be a major factor in their game design when it came to more complex encounters with bosses. So for that they needed to build their engine from the ground up. Obviously they also had virtually unlimited resources. (Albeit, controlled). Speaking of control, where the hell is Shane Dabiri worked his way up to Chief of Staff? Sweet lord. I remember when he was just a face on a box in Hillsbrad Foothills.

I'm sitting here thinking to myself about how Brad has a game that people can log into right now and he's gonna launch it.

Anything preventing that in your minds? Or are we on a straight shot now till "something" comes out and everyone plays atoadaso?

I think launching anytime soon is really far fetched with their current financial model. With that said if it doesn't launch in 2019 this game will probably fall of the radar for most people as they will think it is vaporware or a scam.

It really makes you wonder how much financial backing they really do have. From the FAQ.

8.3 What are the approximate timeframes for Alpha, Beta, and commercial release?

There are many variables involved and developing a massively multiplayer game is not an easy thing to do. Our goal is to be in alpha and beta testing at some point during 2017. The launch date is to be determined. Important: these dates are not set in stone and subject to change.

I think they have very little financial backing as they keep asking for unpaid volunteers to join the team.

How would you know?

Watching people with a history of getting 5mill+ in venture capital, failing, and then making a new company that receives similar VC terms.

We've all seen it. Brad is a pretty obvious example by himself. It holds true. If you have a history of managing money, and failing, you still have a history of managing money. Therefore you are more likely to manage money in your next venture.
