Server still very much in the random ganking red it's dead mentality. Politicking and guild drama won't start for a while yet if enough folks stick around for it to happen at all.
Pvp pretty good overall though. Have had a couple group vs group fights and they feel great. Wiping the enemy guild xp group in the Goblin caves then having the same group revenge kill you later when you're solo multiple times is about as classic as it gets.
My only complaints are honestly just the same ones I have with Pantheon generally.

for people in the thread unfamiliar with wizard pvp, no volley means their opponents need to channel a 5.0 second spell
the zek in this video have no volley. let's see an updated video when that group makes 16.

Held on to that a while. Good for you that you're getting what you're wanting.
Still, the pvp server launch didn't even make a blip on the steam chart. Just the same old die hards. No needles moved.

I appreciate that it is your kink, but I would rather not ever have nonconsentual pvp in a non-pvp game ever again.

Braid himself said it is essential to have a pvp server. The best of the best on EQ was determined by pvp.
There is a non pvp option for ppl who would like to opt out. I think it's unimmersive having an invisible barrier preventing me from swinging my mace at anything I want.

Everyone ive talked to 15+ says they have already gotten their 40$ worth and will definitely be bearding the full game.
The sub 10 nuclear melters in ooc, well, there's plenty of extremely forgiving, hyper on rails games for them.
Id say Pantheon has even gotten bitten by the "on rails a bit" and should be careful with what kind of feedback is loud but disconnected from the vision. Keep that old darkness and fear venturing out into the world feeling. We have seen a dozen games rise and fall due to being hackneyed and uninspiring. OG EQ Nektulos forest is a hard feeling to capture again, but it's here in some capacity for sure. The Nek vs EC wars was something that made you want to stay instead of level up and make evil only RP guilds.
PS: get rid of paladin for Dark Myr, what were ye thinkin? Or prove me wrong with some lore I haven't seen yet? Do not listen to the guy with the anime fox avatar who thinks "it would be cool!". Some of those weird ass snowflake takes make me wonder if they've ever been immersed in their entire lives.
