I guess what I am asking is do you think the ability to dual shields at all is dumb? or do you think there could be a cool way to implement it? Atleast they aren't going the EQN route with the auto-parkour, nexxt thing you know we would all be shield surfing Legolas'

dual shields was a hyped aspect of skyrim that was lamented for not being in the finished game. its retarded, but people love that shit. and its a marked improvement over a lore wall of text, because we're actually discussing it.

If they don't make the goal and the project dies right here then fucking good. This isn't a fucking project, have you even read over the fucking pages and pages and threads upon threads on this board about games that are already backed my large companies working on beta, and the amount of changes and different directions the game heads in? Nobody knows what direction that game will go in, nobody has a fucking clue, if you say you do then you are a fucking liar, because the team making it doesn't even know what direction the game is heading in yet. Just look at the amount of speculation that has been going on in this thread, will it be more like EQ, will it be more like Vangaurd, will it be more like WoW, will there be PVP, will there be this, will there be that. Who fucking knows there isn't a fucking game.

I think it is absolutely dumb. The amount of strength necessary to handle that in reality?

If it's just going to be a larger and flatter sword you are just looking for a skin on the sword that is a shield but it is still just a sword.

The combat design to make that interesting I can't even imagine. Come up with an idea and toss it out. Something that keeps both shields up at all times, isn't just a sword that is skinned like a shield because it is a digital game and not reality.

We aren't mad that it's just concepts and ideas. It's the feeling misled thing...

This is the weird thing for me though. I read this thread, I read all the ks information. What was said that people felt mislead about. It was pretty clear to me they were at the very beginning of the project. I just don't see any comments or statements they made where they pretended otherwise.

People act like they were told a working demo was coming even though everything they talked about indicated they were at the very start of the kickstart. So regardless of the quality of the ks, I don't see how people got mislead by this. Some people potentially blew it up in their head but all the early information brad and other people posted indicated they did not have a lot to start with. It is fine not to like that or want to support it, but to claim it was misleading seems totally off base.

I think it's funny how even if they do a better class update, you can still find things (dual sheild) that are retarded. It's just some crazy idea, it's not like they know how the mechanics of it are even going to work (if at all).
