If you have to push your gender in a community of mostly guys, then you are attention whoring. The only ones who give a fuck are the ones who hate attention seeking types. A good chunk of us are old hardcore raiders who have vivid memories of having to deal with crappy female teammates of the real or fake variety. If you come to our community, then you need to understand the environment you are in. Attention seeking women here are about as wanted as Al Qaeda in a Jewish Synagogue.
I just assume everyone is a dude online, and while I'd say calling a woman a dude isn't a big deal, my closest friend in real life who is a chick gets pissed off to no end when I call her dude. It's how I get under her skin when she starts to get too weird. The people here are far more nasty than I am, so if they know that'll piss someone off, then it's going to start rolling. It's what bored PVPers and DOTA players seem to do for fun, when they aren't trolling gay dude threads on the general forums here.
I'd be game. I have a 60 shaman but I mostly soloed. I'd love a set group.
