I'm still waiting for proof on this before I pass judgement, personally. He can only 'owe' them money if they were contracted to receive it anyway.

It sounds to me like a bunch of too-trusting dudes didn't cover their bases and got screwed... but that doesn't mean he 'owes' them anything in the legal sense.

I'm sure he's going to like what he reads but i'll leave this note for him. You talk about people who are passionate? You talk about people who did everything in their power to support you? You talk about reaching out to the community and the niche that want this type of game? You are looking at a high concentration of that group.

You look at the people that make up or have been a part of this community... From people involved in the gaming industry, gaming sites, to just the MMO experienced, this community is very passionate. So, if you are not liking what you are reading, it is because they have very little tolerance in being jerked around and mislead. This has been as unprofessional as a project can be managed and if you are going to tout the second coming of MMO's and how you're finally going bring the genre back to its roots, then deliver. The influence of this community can help you and while we may have our own way of articulating our criticism, I can assure you, anything that is said is to help bring a game, like Everquest, to fruition. (If nothing else a modernized version of it.)

There has been a lot of great ideas come from garages, basements, and dorm rooms in the world of technology but, each of them found ways to create and exist on those passions alone without exposing the product to the drama and three-ring circus much like we have seen with Pantheon. The air needs to be cleared and then the project needs to go into hiding until there is something worthwhile to be seen. There is more drama and scrutiny than the actual game floating around the web. This is a problem and needs to be resolved quickly for the sake of the idea, your reputation, the game, and the genre.

This worked because people were a passionate family... lived and breathed as one family.

Pantheon appeared to consist of a bunch of people just wanting a pay check and headed by a cut throat. (I'm speaking strictly in appearances and by no means intend to speak for everyone as I'm sure a couple may have been genuinely passionate.)

What...the...fuck...happened? Can one of the regulars fill me in (TLDR version) on who this Beck dipshit is? I read like 2 pages and its clear he just discovered this Internet thing...

He gave Brad around 3k after the kickstarter failed. He has an "internet radio" show where he talks to himself and like 5 other people for hours at a time. Most of the "show" is him regurgitating the same tired bullshit and then asking other people for comments before cutting them off and saying the exact same thing again. The only good part of any of it was when he let the developers and insiders talk about the project and what happened. After we called him on his tool-like behavior he pulled the "I was just joking, bro. You guys have been trolled" thing and we all piled on until Amod put him out of his misery

Brad also banned him from the official Pantehon site, so he holds the unique distinction of being hated by all parties involved.

Is he the fucking dude who was interviewing the devs and asked 10x an hour, "What can the community do to help keep Pantheon going?". I wanted to reach through the screen and strangle this dude. The dev team is basically stating Brad ripped them off and they were done with Brad, and this dude is acting as if its just a bump in the road. ITS FUCKING OVER! There is no game, nor will there ever be a Pantheon. Get is through your thick skull for christs sake.
