Same problem I had. I gave up trying to fix this issue and never came back. I did get to maps but thought that shit was dumb as fuck. I'll come back when they add the last 3 chapters though. Never could get into PoE1. Wasn't going to risk my rtx4090 bricking over the hard lock ups that required a forced shut down randomly. At least you guys can play. There are 2 500+ threads on the poe2 early access bug report forum where people are experiencing hard PC crashing during loading screens. Not game crashing, actual PC locking, hard-reboot required freezes. People are bricking their machines trying to play this game. It happened to me once and I thought hey maybe this is an anomaly, second time happened and that was enough for me to quit trying. It's incredible the amount of workarounds people are trying to do while using their machines as guinea pigs.
Worst part is GGG had the issue listed on their "known-issues" sticky at the top of the page, released a supposed fix during the last patch and removed it from the sticky thread. It's still happening however. Sucks, I enjoyed the game but I never got into maps so maybe I would have put it down anyways.
Just curious, how many hours do you have /played?Is there a way to bulk request our money back? Like if we all do it at the same time, does that increase the likelihood of them getting the fkn message?
It's insane to me the amount of posts I see with people trying to find workarounds to play the game, saying they're "only" getting a crash per hour or whatever. The same people that buy UPS systems to protect their computer from the rare power outage or spike are willingly doing the same shit to their PC multiple times a day. I'll go back only if I see the problem is solved, right now it's definitely not. There's some program called POE Uncrasher or something that seems to help some but the game isn't worth the risk for me, just built my PC last year with a 4090 as well.Same problem I had. Yeah, I think this is what I need to do at this point. I still pick up like tier 4 or 5 rares but I think unless it's an item I'm looking to actually upgrade for myself, just gonna grind currency and clear shit as quickly as possible. I think I'm getting close to burning out at this point. I've seen everything, beaten every boss to at least +3, except for Simulacrum as that shit is fucking hard with my current build(freeze shit and explode but the simulacrum mobs don't explode so....). Might take a break soon and wait for whatever update adds new classes / updates end game content. At this point in the economy, chances of finding a rare worth selling are slim to none. Just loot currency and shards and you'll not only keep your rhythm but also increase your over all wealth gain over time

It's not an apologist hot take. People with hundreds of hours in a game asking for a refund is one of the most brain dead things I've ever heard.I was asking myself "Who do I have on ignore?". Then I clicked and it was Fyff with his typical apologist "hot takes" and the memories came flooding back about his "Blizzard can do no wrong!" days.
It was advertised as literally half finished early access and they have played for 100s of hours, then they turn around and say it's a lazy peice of shit.Got it. So way too much to be complaining about a game that was billed as not complete when you bought it.
Who is Fyff?I can't decide whether Fyff or Chris should feel more ashamed for the other supporting their argument.
Windows 11 patch 24H2 is known to cause that. I posted on that issue early on in EA. Can use process lasso or something similar to only allow poe2 to certain cores. It will still crash just not take down your pc. Can also disable multithreading in the POE2 options but the game will run like shit obviously. I know a few people had issues with DX12 also but don't think that will hard crash you.At least you guys can play. They probably all went to Thailand for a month of hookers and blow after the huge success of the EA. Need a couple weeks after that to get your head back in the game. It's a decent game and I in no way regret the thirty dollars. People expected early access to move faster and the PoE1 fanbase didn't think it was going to head shot their game. If Jonathan's January video had been "we're sorry, here's how we got here but there's this sweet gimmick league on the way" the whole energy of the thing would be different but instead he waited until the end of the month to tell PoE1 he had nothing for them and no timeline for when their would be something.
I will never understand why that was what he went with.
