This game has absolutely no reward for leveling. Your stats go up, numbers increase, and combat feels the same and/or gets more complicated just to kill at the same rate.

WHY EVEN HAVE A LEVELING SYSTEM IF THERE IS NO REWARD?

This game is the EPITOME of "it's not the destination, it's the journey!" and they can ligma.

They need to make the passive tree and atlas passives stronger, much closer to how it is in current POE, feels way too weak as it stands.

The only reward for leveling really is unlocking more skills and even then, that shouldn't be a reward as you get certain skills way to late so the whole skill level system just needs to be overhauled.

As Yaamean said, they just need better notables/keystones in the passive tree. You unlock literally all the exact same stuff in PoE the same way so feeling more powerful in that game vs POE2 as you level is more a factor of what your passives are doing. There are some pretty big nodes in the tree to get for certain builds that give stuff like 100% crit under conditions and 50% increased damage, etc, but damage just doesn't scale the way it does in PoE1 where you click a good notable and get a 18% more damage boost sometimes. It's more like 5-9% per notable in this game.

There's also follow-on effects for the tree being so weak:

-Anoints feel less impactful and less like something you're trying to get more of.

-Items like Thread of Hope and Intuitive Leap feel like less of an upgrade or chase item.

-It makes it seem pointless to travel around and try to find ways to get away from your starting area in the tree, impacting build diversity. "I need to get away from this piddly, weak, 5% +gooderer node here for this WAAAY better 6% node that's 10 points away!" Said no one.

-It appeals to morons and normies. I play POE because morons and normies DON'T like it. This one might be a bit subjective :I'm Fine:

Do you miss having to off color that Brass Dome for your caster build? Or forgo early upgrades because you didn't have the currency for socketing and linking?

Skill gems in equipment allows for some extra design space for affixes with "Socketed gems supported by". I'm not sure it's interesting, but PoE2 equipment is quite limited at the moment and can definitely use some fleshing out.

It sucks that removing gems from gear resulted in this "baby's first" gem book, but I don't think the two are inextricably linked. That said, given they only make changes they don't want to make when the playerbase revolts, I doubt this gets any serious changes soon.

What sucks the most is I have around 100 divs, but I don’t want to buy anything because when I buy the sacred flame I want, I’ll have to buy other gear because of resists, int requirements etc etc or changing my build.

Can’t just change one piece of gear, nope to easy.

Also thought about gearing my deadye who I stripped for the Amazon but guess what you know how hard it is to gear a char you took everything off of? If you guessed a pain in the dick because you have to equip bullshit items to before you can replace it with the items you bought then you guessed right, jfc.

THEY said they stopped treating it like early access. This is on them. Quit making excuses for game companies just because they built up good will in the past. That only lasts for so long. Go take a look at how Blizzard is doing nowadays. BioWare ring a bell?

Yeah they've had more than enough time to "get it" as far as making a good arpg considering how long poe1 has been out

Big Lips Xerxes ("all the leagues are my favorite!") is a big fail

All of it, despite its flaws the old system felt connected to the world. Now it feels like you're entering data in an ugly excel spreadsheet with a very clumsy UX. Even the gem stash tab is wonky with the new gems. Everything was rushed in.

crazy, I can actually play this with my gtx1070, after my other video card died.

That is absolutely shocking to me.

3090/5800x3d and I can barely maintain 60fps in mapping content, frequently way less than that during really busy stuff like big breaches

Playable is such a relative term.

One the stupidest lessons GGG is relearning with PoE2 is ground effects. Anyone remember how horrible OG burning ground's performance was? It seems chilled ground has the same issue in PoE2.
