ran into a 425 depth aul that i've died to over and over again while progressively upping my defense to no avail. 2x100% extra fire/lightning damage, so i get one shot if his "pre ice spike fan" sweep hits me even with 81/77/76% cold/fire/lightning res and 40% fortify effect at 6.6k life. Also has 67% more life, 39% less crit damage taken and hexproof so i it's a slog to whittle him down. furthest i've gotten is around 50%. I suppose the next step is to try divine flesh aswell or find a better lethal pride with more fortify effect.

logged in, cleared 13 tier 16 maps and not a single conq presence.

Hell naw.

I will say that, tinfoil hat officially on, that last night my final stone took a lot more work to get the influence started than any previous one: I actually had to use orbs to convert some T16s to the area I needed to start influence, for the first time in this whole process. However, I will also say that the follow-up appearances only took about 6 maps before the conqueror was cooked and ready to take out of the oven.

So: 32 stones acquired. Gah, now what? I don't really care to actively chase more Sirus fights. I think I will probably chase awakening maps across the Atlas now that I have Awakened Level 8 and can do the T16's: I think I am around the mid30's at the moment? Maybe do some of the shaper/elder maps I have acquired that I stashed away; chase a few annoying Challenges that I had not worked at (just did Phantasmagoria boss kill uncursed, also need to get a decent level Wasteland map to get the Metamorph kill from there - I appear to be light on that particular map, etc etc).

I think, for the average high hour player like me, where PoE fails a bit is that certain milestones take so much effort, and often RNG, that when they are finally accomplished there is a huge decompression and a distinct drop in desire to play. The highs and lows are too extreme, and need to be leveled off a bit, if that makes any sense.

This Skeleton build is nuts. I did Malachai last night in Act 4, and he spent longer in animations than he did in the phases where he takes damage

And last league's. And next league's. They were so quick to nerf cyclone back into mediocrity, summoners got off easy.

The cyclone nerf was really shit, it was really fun to play and it wasn't even overpowered.

Cyclone impale is still one of the highest damage, lowest gear requirement builds you can do. The only thing they nerfed about it was Cyclone being bigger than youre entire screen with basically no investment. Which was fucking stupid in the first place. Summoners basically only got nerfed until you're 90+, then you'll be able to 21 your gems to get extra spectres, zombies etc etc. Just makes them slightly SLIGHTLY weaker at the lower levels but still a destroyer of everything when geared and leveled. The zombies did fucking suck until like lvl 40+ though this league because they lost a lot of hp and slam speed.

Most used "melee" skill? Lacerate at 2%. Next on the list? Flicker Strike at 1%. I think the recent frenzy on hit from the skill and redeemer chests helps a ton, but it's still flicker strike. Double strike is at 1% but almost all of that is paired with flicker.

I'm too stupid to figure out how to filter out people using cyclone as a trigger skill instead of true dps while still mainting their portion of the overall meta.

Filter out the acendancies. I can tell you no necros or assassins are actually using cyclone to damage. I’d toss out chieftain too. Start there. Cyclone still dominates. Then it’s usually lacerate. Last league bladestorm I think was third then flicker.

Sitting here with kid playing, so I got bored. I get 8.24% of characters on poeninja are actually using cyclone as a melee skill.

I think those are fair assumptions as to who is not using at as trigger. Again, the problem with Poe.ninja is that there’s a wealth of endgame characters between 90 and 94 that get missed.

Filtering on ninja is close to what I got.

Sirus seems impossible as a melee that has to stop and attack him. I can deathless until 50% but his final stage is just nonstop instant death when I pause to actually deal damage.

Ehhh he's not actually all that bad, you just have to change your way of thinking about the fight. The fight once you get to phase 3 is a marathon, not a sprint. You'll spend like 90% of your time moving waiting for him to use either the boulder tunnel attack or his 4 clones to find a window to get some DPS in.

Ditch all your flasks and bring 5 life flasks if you're really struggling, since the other ones will basically be worthless anyway. Buy any jewel with the corrupted implicit immune to corrupted blood modifier, get permanent freeze immune someplace, and basically any build can slog through it with enough patience.

I've killed him half a dozen times now at awakening 8 using double strike, which is as about a melee skill as you can get.

That seems to me like you need to build some defense. In my experience it's pretty easy to get to a point where nothing should insta/near-insta kill you except his die beam in the last phase.

fortify should be obvious
Get corrupted blood immunity corruption on a jewel
cwdt guard skills, most his beams and normal attacks are rapid fire bursts of smaller hits so cwdt is good
and what ronne said

Private leagues are pretty fun. You can set mods and the league type, you can trade if you want but only within the league itself. It's got its own global chat etc.

I'd be awesome to do a league with some of you guys sometime. They end up costing around 300points for 30days and for that you get 10 players which isn't much considering the fun that can be had in them.

You can literally make the entire game rippy as fuck if you go all out on the mods. That's not just fun, but it's fun to just fuck around in your own space and if you want to trade its people you know etc.

I didn't think it would be that good but it's quite a nice experience, and you can migrate anytime to the softcore league if you make bank or just get pissed off so you're not locked in or anything.

Cyclone is still easymode. Dual Wield Ahn's Might crit/impale is a little squishy due to boss proximity requirements with some of the big slams but damage output is sufficient. Like Xevy said, you have to move around a lot more than you did before the AoE nerf but it is still decent. T16s easy peasy, including the metamorphs, although I still instantly die to the usual stupid shit that kills everyone no matter how you build your character. Just died to the Tormented Spirit that causes the mobs to explode on death - I was in the middle of the mass of mobs killing about 10 and BAM. Yeah, we all stop to read every mod on mobs.

Bought a saviour, kinda feel it hurts flicker in some manners. The reflections can break your flicker chain, leaving you sitting there like an idiot before you realize you got leap slam instead.

I'm wondering if chain hook or cyclone would be better.

I haven't logged in for almost a month. It always happens. I get to yellow maps and become incredibly bored. Not with the build but with the grind. And now with the atlas changes and all, fuck it.

I had a hard time pushing through this league as well. I liked the old atlas because when I got burned out Id just invest heavily and push through to shaped layouts I enjoyed running. Now thats pretty much all gone.

It takes some getting used to but I kinda like it for flicker. Gives me a chance to run around a bit and loot some stuff while the boys are off doing whatever.

It's absurd with cyclone too obviously. Chain hook remains uh, special, though admittedly I didn't respec or anything for Chain hook and just kinda slotted it in.
