I said the game was new-player-unfriendly, not that you were new to the game. You're acting like a new player.
I guess I should be flattered you think I'm some kind of mastermind, or has the long con been going on since Nov 25 2021?

Seems to be pretty decent overall, though some lantern rewards got re-nerfed due to people exploiting. I am only up to yellow maps but overall the difficulty has only gone up a bit, but apparently some of the red maps + T17 maps are insanely hard to beat. Will probably be nerfed a bit before I make it that farIs the league in a good place yet? The last week has been super busy for me so I'm just now jumping in going hexblast mines. I saw a lot of complaining earlier and then GGG rolled out some buffs or something.
Very good imo. I'd say its a now a tier A to S league depending on what you like to do.Is the league in a good place yet? The last week has been super busy for me so I'm just now jumping in going hexblast mines. I saw a lot of complaining earlier and then GGG rolled out some buffs or something.
I just started playing the game around Affliction, but I just play to have fun....I dont even understand half of what you said. I feel like people that are super experienced only want to cash in and treat the game like a casino. (I mean, it kinda is). This post could use some tidying up but i can't be bothered to do that so here goes instead of just deleting it and not posting.
In the end end game the scarab/juicing situation has me a bit burned out and i haven't been particularly excited to log on. But maybe im dumb or i just haven't found the right strat (and also character)
There's a few reasons that tie into each other.
1. There's too many different scarabs now.
2. Sextants were 4 scarabs in 1 and it hasn't been made up for.
3. Awakened sextants could be sold to someone that wanted to roll and sell compasses piece by piece, now everyone is in essence forced to sell compasses
4. Because of 3 the market is small so when trying to buy in bulk it hardly makes sense economically the price you'd have to pay (but maybe like i said i might be stupid or i've just tried doing stupid strats)
5. Easy alch and go strats like essence are much less efficient now if you don't partake in the scarab market.
1.With no easy way like harvest rerolls to get what you want to use/sell in 1 big bulk the scarab tab is just a black hole of individual stacks worth 20c that i can't be bothered to sell one at a time especially with all the price checks it would require and it doesnt feel like the poe ninja prices you'd get on tft bulk selling the tab would be accurate 2. Sextants were basically 4 scarabs in one and they used to drop a lot, could for example walk out of a sanctum run with 64+ of them which is the equivalent of 256 scarabs and that shortfall of some of the rarer compasses (now scarabs) hasnt been made up for imo. 3. sextants could be easily sold to someone that wanted to roll and sell them so you could avoid said black hole of a tab of random compasses and then just buy the compasses you wanted back from the person rolling them. 4. said blackhole effects the whole market so there are less around to buy from people it feels like.
What's been the easiest to do and get an relaxing 10 or something divines an hour out of has honestly been sanctum but doing sanctum + making a build for sanctum is not exciting. Mapping in contrast you get loot that would take more work than previously to liquidate (this also includes corpses) as i expounded upon already.

I know i "can" do 3:1 i just doubt it's actually economically viable, seems like a ssf strat if anything. You can sell scarabs 3:1 to the merchant for random scarabs of varying quality back. You can also block/juice specific scarabs in the Atlas.
I just started playing the game around Affliction, but I just play to have fun....I dont even understand half of what you said. I feel like people that are super experienced only want to cash in and treat the game like a casino. (I mean, it kinda is).
I just enjoy slowly upgrading my character and attempting to solve the little things that get me killed +progress further. Though I guess once you've played a ton of leagues it isn't even challenging anymore.
(No disrespect intended, I have no fucking clue what I'm doing for the most part)
I was looking into a Back to Basics atlas tree, have you tried that at all? Picking up all the scarab and map nodes for scarab drop chance and map modifier%, conqueror, shaper/elder, synth map chance drop from bosses, then just blitzing maps. No clue if it's good but seems like a relaxing build.
Gotcha, kinda figured. Hope to get to that level at some point but it'll be a while. Have no idea how people progress so fast, I'm just happy to be into maps before the first week is up.I know i "can" do 3:1 i just doubt it's actually economically viable, seems like a ssf strat if anything.
I have blocked an obvious stinker like abyss and legion, but there's low value scarabs you can't block so out of an EV standpoint it's not so easy to figure what to block.
I've played a lot this league already, finished my atlas and done t17 stuff so i'm talking very end end game and yea i've played this game since 3.5 so almost 20 patches now.
Haven't tried it no but seems worth checking out.
I have run a shaper/conq/synt map drop tree with the scarabs that makes shrines acompanied by map bosses with as many shrines as possible. It's pretty fun but not super exciting profit the way i did it atleast it seemed to me.
Seems like it except scarabs is only 3:1 and skill gems can't be converted to 20% qual
It does blow my mind when some of the trollier/shittier posters come into the video game section and it turns out they infact play video games.

Made these as a goof because I was running out of room with corpses. I obviously messed up and didn't add enough +mod tier, but overall pretty good. Took, like, 35-45 corpses maybe? Made them for myself, though trade said they're worth a lot more.
Penance I've been in trade since I've been playing 11 years ago. I never once gave a shit about how much money I was making or what other people were doing to make money. It's infinitely more enjoyable if you don't give in to the Reddit FOMO shit. There's one thing if you're doing something that puts you at a disatvantage, like running two Atlas Nodes that cancel each other out, but it's another thing entirely when people run strategies to make money and make 50% less than some other strat. Like, this ain't your fucking job dudes. Play the game to have fun. If you NEED a Mageblood or Headhunter or Squire or whatever to play the build you want, then you can sell your soul and farm Harvest juice to flip to China or whatever the fuck, but that's an entirely different game. You're no longer an attack unit, you're just "Yes Me Lord"ing more wood for the people in control.
