Was in the patch notes yeah. Also potion duration is shown on the potions and your own auras don't show up on your buff bar anymore since they already show in your bindings so aura bitches won't have 150auras(everyone else still does though). Bunch of small changes to the UI.

Seriously though, not understanding shit is half the fun in this game. I just spent 2 hours lazily browsing youtube and putzing around with lightning tendrils/arc build. I ended up having no intention to play the build, but PoB is pretty fun. My wife first saw me playing around with the passive tree and she said it looks like fun, like it's some giant puzzle(it is).

Daunting at first, definitely. But damn does this game hit that sweet spot of complexity but *almost* none of the side effects of a typical MMO game where you usually have to find said complexity. No more waiting for 5 late guild members to sign on and then wade through hours of trash just so you can get to the interesting dps mechanics of your build.

Fuck, almost talked myself into buying another supporter pack. Release the damn Abyss packs already so I can make a decision!

No clue what I want to play. Was thinking of Alkaizer's cleave build, crit frostbolt build I peiced together, firestorm using spell cascade. Also volatile dead looks pretty fun, but I'm not touching it unless I can punch it into PoB.

Seeing as GGG didnt give a how to with this. This is the content.ggpk file you are downloading. Just replace the one in your PoE folder with it. It wont eliminate tommorows download but itll likely decrease it to couple hundreds mbs.

Also important to note is you cant use it for Steam.

Hrm. I totally overlooked volatile dead has neither duration or projectile tag. well, saw in the sense, no duration, and no +proj. But, I was thinking faster projectiles will effect it. It wont.

The dude I modeled my Arc / Tendrils after is Foxtactics, you can google his twitch and youtube pretty easily. View Profile - Path of Exile - FoxTactics

Its basically 2 void batteries which will cost a few EX each as the most expensive part. For Arc I got the helm enchant super cheap that does +4 chains so basically you're getting 11+ chains of Arc a cast, also super cheap.

Sleep time so I can get up for start of league. I came up with a Crit firestorm inquisitor that uses a spell totem to cast volatile dead. Should be pretty fun unless I've overlooked something about the whole structure of what I built (most likely). Anyways, cya all in a few hours :eek:

firestorm cascade should be pretty broken. conc effect, etc. avoid any +aoe size. Not sure why you would even bother with the volatile dead.

I'll admit I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to casters in this game. EK/Blade Vortex is the only one I've played. I like EK, but the spin-up time on Blade Vortex fucking blows.

My question is how do casters typically deal with life leeching, especially now with the nerf to Warlord's Mark? Lightning Tendrils requires being in melee range, so I feel like something beefier is going to be needed. Or, maybe I'll just do guardians and shaper with other builds.

storm barrier should be great for tendrils. we just said tendrils dps is very high. so, drop a link for stormbarrier, and aura for Arctic armor. immortal?


last minute, swap here I think. going to go more tried and true, with icecrash ascendant for league starter..(basically just an icecrash slayer). More predictable then volatile dead will be.

You don't need mana for Tendrils its a very low cost spell. Here is Fox killing Shaper while eating his dinner with Lightning Tendrils if you want to see it in action -
