Saw this today and really liked it. As an animal lover (and somewhat of a misanthrope) it hit me in the feels and I related.

I caught this opening night.
Movie was not bad, it was actually pretty good, but I can't recommend it if you are looking for something like Mandy or Willy's Wonderland. Definitely felt like more of an arthouse film.

I did think it was kind of cool that Cage was like the John Wick of cooking in Portland.

Like was said, I can't really describe what it was that made this movie good, but it just was. Something about it just really made me feel for Cage's character.

Agreed. The story was pretty dumb and not what I thought it would be. But the acting all around was great. Enjoyed the movie beginning to end.
