Gav made me realize something. I need to start carrying a second knife. The one I have now is in my left pocket. It would be pretty easy to deny me access to that pocket in a fight.

I used to work with a guy from Belgium. He told me that feral dogs are a big problem over there and they teach you to fight them with 2 sticks. Let the dog bite one of them and then beat him with the other.

If the dog bites a stick, you can probably step on its neck. From there dog's lose always. They'll be unable to bite you, and its teeth is a dog's only real weapon.

No but I did laugh at it. I feel like both breeds are energetic and good-natured and merely unlikely to turn into elderly-eating, fireman-fighting deathbeasts.

Watching a pitbull shrug off a full power pick-axe swing from a trained firefighter really crystallizes how fucked you probably are if one of these things decides to end you.

I don't know if i'd call that video an example of a "full power swing" unless we're talking full power levels of a child/small female/old person.

That's a good question.

I'd say no. A family looking to protect what they have might enjoy having their own monster, so that's good for them against other humans. The roving bands of ownerless-pitbulls would basically be apex predators in most suburbia areas. Any benefit of pitbull on mushroom zombie action would be heavily outweighed by zombie pits. A pitbull would probably happily trade bites with a zombie so it'd be a one-time use thing and then you'd have to put it down.
