I think they are switching engines. PU posted somethign about them moving to a new engine and thats what setting them back. I dont know if they got that upset over using unreal that they are moving things around.Despite the boat loads of money they made, they haven't actually done shit with it. I mean, where the hell is the new map? The vaulting update? I know these things take time, but holy shit, the game has just stagnated for months now. I haven't played in almost 2 months.
PUBG has a huge team, they can mod the engine tooProbably just can't do any more with the version of the engine they're running. Was curious so I checked out the wikipedia for PUBG and it runs on UE4:
"To prepare for the release of its free-to-play "Battle Royale" mode in Fortnite in September 2017, Epic had to make a number of Unreal Engine modifications that helped it to handle a large number (up to 100) connections to the same server while still retaining high bandwidth, and to improve the rendering of a large open in-game world. Epic will incorporate these changes into future updates of the Unreal Engine."
So I guess Fortnite runs on a much better optimized version of UE4 than PUBG does? Would explain why it cooperates so much better with 100 players and a bigass map.

Always a good sign for a game when an official announcement is followed up by "We know everyone is unhappy."
