Yeah, my PS3 harddrive is almost at capacity(500gigs) of free games that I still have to beat. PS+ is absolutely awesome for someone like me who isn't beating several games a month/week.

Trying being someone that platinums everything with it - even pushing a platinum every 1-2 weeks - the backlog is staggering especially with pauses from PS+ for buys.

I just love the concept of platinums from the "experienced everything it was designed for" sorta thing myself - really what justifies console gaming alot to me since there's a visible mastery of the game at just a glance.

I'm a reformed completionist. It's just that I found myself spending more time trying to do everything, then leaving the game altogether to move onto something else. I have a shitload of games in my backlog and finally told myself that I'm just a dirty casual these days and I would rather just finish games and experience the story, etc. I can definitely appreciate the desire to get the platinum trophies!

Just a single title for the end of this month - not sure why they got on a different cycle - our October stuff is gonna be Oct 1 for when it starts unless I missed something. And they never announce US this early, we're lucky to get it a week early.

How does it work if you have PS+ but haven't finished a title before it leaves the free service? Does it get deleted even if downloaded, or is it just no longer available for download? Or is that game yours and available for download for all time as long as you were a subscriber while it was free?

as long as you downloaded it while it was free, it will always be free. as long as you have an active psn+ membership. so even if you download a game, then delete it because you're not going to get to it for 5 months due to backlog and needing space on your hard drive... you can download it again for free 5 months later. (as long as you are a currently a psn+ member)
edit: should add that if you download a game while your a member, then you cancel your sub. even though you have the game downloaded and installed you can't play it. or... at least that's what they say. i'm sure there are work arounds? no idea if just dc'ing your ps3 from the internet would work...

Every time you connect with PS+ it updates your permission for it - so assuming 3 month PS+ it'll assume you've cancelled it when day 90 comes up if you don't connect for a bit. But say you've got 2 yrs prepaid like I do ATM - it doesn't need a connection until then.
