The boyfriend wasn't too into the whole fish thing until we got a betta. I liked tiny schooling community fish, but its true...until you start sizing up and you've got something a little more evolved than a fancy anchovy, fish just kinda act like fish. Once we got something with a little bit more personality...Plus, the color changey thing is pretty cool. (sorry pictures are fucking huge)
Same guy about 6 months apart. Crowntails start getting stringy when they get older but he's still a badass. He started turning purple now.
Got a few more tanks since the last post. Here's the 29g after a replant and grow-out.
Male blue ram. Kinda hard to photograph but they've got electric blue neon scales and change all sorts of color, too.
We lost Sebastian today at 12; died of a heart attack. I'm glad it was quick for him, but will be a while before I get past it. Probably the best cat I've ever had; intelligent, neurotic, and loving. Always knew how far to push it playing rough with dad, but then would love up on his mom. Just last night he woke me at 3:30 as it was time for pets....really happy I took the time to rub his noggin' good as I missed getting to say goodbye.
Pretty raw so I'm gonna drink some beers to numb it all for now...I suck at grief.
For being such a low-activity thread, this is one of my favorites. Who the shit doesn't like happy pets?
Our cats are siblings, and they never paid much attention to each other until one of them was in and out of the vet's office for weeks. After that they've been inseparable.
