I really did plan on slipping out for good; was really pissed over this issue and let me be clear as glass... I wasn't pissed that I found little support for my stance, I was pissed how the narrative was getting so skewed and twisted (my God, even the thread title is complete horseshit of what my real views are LoL). After getting caught up on all these posts... there truly and honestly was a lot of assumptions about me thrown my direction over this that simply... aren't... true.
With that said and out of the way, I now have 2 options:
#1 I can tackle all of these bit by bit Lithose style and yet again wind up just looking like Tanoomba (which, btw, we interacted a bit before his ban, but I never engaged in other parts of the forum during that time so I have no context as to what it means to be "retarded like Moonbat").
or
#2 I can just say, "We found a topic that Vanessa and the majority of the forum disagree on" and let it lay dead in the water.
I choose option #2 as evidenced by my first sentence in this post.

#2 should be your default option in any similar situation, unless you don't particularly want to be a part of the group in question. I say this as someone that just shrugged and walked away from pretty much any annoying situation for most of my life until I learned where that gets you (alone, with many burned bridges behind you)

Please read my earlier post and you will realize that this might not be the last time or it might but that this community doesn't have an issue with just knowing that we might not agree on everything.
I was the only vocal anti-abortion, Republican, Bible thumping, young Earth, no evolution, no gay marriage, and whatever else fits into that category person on this forum for just around 20 years now?

So far not quite. There are a few sticking points that just haven't been answered to my satisfaction and an overarching unlikeliness to evolution of that scale.
I can accept that it's possible for sure, almost anything is. I just don't it is "the" answer.
That being said my faith is for sure nowhere near as rock solid as it was. In anything.

@a_skeleton_03 You may remember: When Trump tweeted that he was prohibiting transgender people from serving in the military early in his presidency, I popped in the politics forum and said that that sucked. I wasn't dogpiled then. Some of you shitposted nothing helpful in response (no big deal tho). Some of you however (a_skeleton_03 a part of that) argued your side calmly and rationally and you know what happened after that?

Thank you for being a part of that group that calmly and rationally argued your point of view. You painted a picture of military life that a regular civilian like me wouldn't have known about and got me to understand your point of view.
This is what I was rustled about this past couple of weeks; it was how this argument played out... not the argument itself (i.e. me being on the "losing" team). I hope you guys understand that.
Oh and yes, I was definitely out of line here in this thread too... here's an fyi, I do have an ego and am a bit narcissistic (it's not a good way to be). I'm sorry that that got the better of me!
