I fully played through the demo on my PS4 and enjoyed the story, but I cancelled my pre order. The jump scares are just way too much for me, I know its the point of the game but I feel kinda stressed out after just an hour and this game isn't relaxing me, its making me super tense. I like the idea of any single item can be the enemy and its cool as fuck in theory but goddamn after the 5th or 6th time where I was clutching my chest, I don't think I can do a 20-40 hour game like that.
Second, the "enemy music" KEPT PLAYING for a long time after something spotted me, and it got loud as hell. I don't know what the hell is going on with it but the constant LOUD SCARY MUSIC FOR 5 MINS was not fun at all, even after I killed the enemy it took a few mins usually for the music to stop.
On PS4 Pro the FOV feels a bit gimped up, right after a mimic attack it usually spins around a bit and trying to find it again is frustrating as hell with this FOV. Also the interface for using computers was awful, the d-pad does nothing and you have to use the controller as a mouse, which is pretty frustrating. I don't know why the d-pad doesn't work.
I really did enjoy the story I saw and will probably play this at some point but it doesn't really feel like a must-play right now, especially with nearly a dozen AAA games sitting around waiting for me to play through.
