I usually roll with another awoken bastet, so im pretty consistant at getting 5 per turn. Should I bring another helper like that, or something like grodin

When you're talking Descends, Grodin doesn't really have any place in a leader/helper spot. You don't need damage reduction; you need burst through big multipliers, so pairing up Bestcat with another Bestcat, or even something like Verdandi (if all/most of your subs are green) is your best bet. Also, don't forget that Goemon is red, which massively reduces a green team's damage output.
Holy Goddess is the easiest descend, so if you were able to scratch out a win versus Goemon, you shouldn't have much trouble besting Valk.
You could try the following team: Bestcat / Grodin / Kushi / Echidna / Shiva / Verdandi
Stall on the first floor by killing all but one of the baby devils until Shiva's active is up. Pop Shiva's active on the next floor and sweep the masks. Pop Echidna's active on the Golem and whittle him down via raw combos. Depending on the Demon's timers on floor 4, you can either go for the kill straight up, or pop Kushi to avoid getting 1-shot. Pop Grodin and Verdandi on Valk and put your combo skills to the test. Verdandi's heart creation will allow you to heal up to full from any damage you took on earlier floors, plus will help organize a much more max-combo friendly board.

Im always so nervous on descends so so far Ive been using odin lol. I just noticed I have to do Medjedra today to make bestcat
ended up getting Medjedra down in 2 tries w/ a similar team as you listed above and got the drop so now I just need sphinx for bestcat

Yeah, use Bastet with Green Odin+Kushi+Siren+Echidna with some other combo lead (preferably bastet, but another kushi could help). That should get you through most of it.
edit: Yeah, Valk's advice is spot on. Sub Siren for someone else red and go with Verdani too.

With all the new shit out there does anyone have a link to current Horus team builds or multi color teams? I'm currently using Horus, BlOdin, GrOdin (both I can ult evo), Valk, and Shiva. I haven't really jumped in to any new content except a few of these event dungeons.

I managed to do master a few months back with a less than amazing team. Since I have a pretty good lead this time I figured I would give Legend a spin. Having now completed it, fuck that dungeon and everyone who designed it.
Tried valk a few times but didn't have much luck. Didn't have option to stone so never got her. Here's to hoping I can get her during this insane orb change carnival thing. P stoked for tomorrow. The carnival, poring tower w/ 2x skill up on , exp of lifetime
