I'm surprised there's not a thread about this. Please delete it if there is but I couldn't find one.

I thought it was pretty interesting. I don't know if the filmmaker is correct in his theory about who Q is, but I do think that him being the most successful internet troll in history is probably the mostly likely conclusion.

I do agree it was probably a troll. Didn’t Qanon appear at the same time as a bunch of other “anon” accounts did on 4chan, but for some reason people latched to Q? That alone tells you enough.

It’s the equivalent of that quest in Cyberpunk with the fortune telling machine

Haven't watched this because I assumed it was just a "lol look at these idiots" hit piece.

Does it at least acknowledge that not all of it is completely batshit crazy?

if his theory wasn't that it started with 4chan trolling and then foreign and domestic anti trump actors took it over and made it what it was for the last half of the trump presidency, than he's an idiot

Might watch it then. Stopped watching pretty much all documentaries when they stopped being about educating people on a subject and turned into just another route of pushing a narrative

It doesn't really pass judgement on the content of the Q posts one way or the other. It's mostly about the 3 weird guys that run 8chan and trying to figure out who Q is.

it mostly lets everyone involved talk, so you can decide how much of an idiot they are themselves.

And it may have started with that intention, but definitely goes a whole different direction part way through (I want to say) episode two, when it turns out that, most likely, the Original Q stopped posting in late 2018/early 2019 and was taken over by one of the aforementioned people that the docuseries covers.
