Enter the Fat Dragon -
Good action scenes but the comedy parts seemed very forced and over the top for no reason.

Fan of gerard butler and frank grillo, but thought it was really disappointing. the idea was good and interesting but way to much dumb stuff going on.

Runner Runner. Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck.

Terribad. Pretty much everyone in this movie just phoned it in for a paycheck.

8/10

Based on CIA operative Robert Baer's 2003 memoir See No Evil.

Solid all the way around and Clooney won an Oscar for BSA.

If you enjoy geopolitical thrillers, it's worth the watch.

Been going through Mel Brooks catalog and re-watched Blazing Saddles last night. Still hilarious and a good message cranked up to absurdity levels. It is a great example of how that style of comedy should be executed. There’s also almost too much “silly,” to quote Monty Python.

Kind of want to re-watch The Producers because it has been decades since seeing that and Springtime for Hitler is great. But Young Frankenstein was always memorable for me.

Die Hard with a Vengeance - 8/10. Rewatching this its a really well put together movie, noticeably better than 1 imo. If it wasnt for the over the top last 15 minutes or so it would be a fantastic movie.

World's Greatest Dad - 7/10. Good dark comedy starring Robin Williams. In hindsight a bit weird considering it deals with suicide.

Futureworld - 3/10. Aside from the subpar story and subpar at best acting, this movie comes off as archaic in general in 2022.

Watched Faults yesterday. Must have really been under the radar, because it was a good movie. Its quirky and about cults/reprograming.

Watched "The Art of Self Defense" today. Another good movie. Black comedy.

I think Faults punched above it's weight because of the quality acting. It could have been terrible if any of the main characters wasn't up to it.

Lawrence of Arabia - 9/10. Oldie but goodie I somehow hadn't seen until recently. The brits in it don't have thick snobby accents like they all do today which was pleasantly surprising.

Twins - 7/10. This being Arnold's first "comedy" and early in his career really worked for the movie. Also John Travoltas wife was pretty damn hot.

Cadillac Man - 6/10. Comedy movie in the vein of Airheads staring Robin Williams and Tim Robins. Its okay, it got a few laughs at out of me with the banter between the characters.

Watching those two movies brought up another facet of how modern movies are so damn sterile and unrealistic; language. Twins obviously was a light hearted mainstream comedy movie and Cadillac Man was a more adult, each had a number of shits and fucks in them. You just dont get that at all in your average movie.
