If someone asked me to leave some drugs out for them, I would be pretty comfortable guessing that they have a problem.
I don't really care that much one way or another, but none of a_skeleton_03's various explanations or attempts to minimize things change the fact that he gave prescription drugs (but only 3-5 pills! that's really important!) to someone that anyone with an IQ over 10 would realize has a drug problem.

I mean suspicious, yes. But pillheads are good at allowing you to think there's a perfectly plausible explanation. They've got this social fudge factor that just doesn't apply to... say... heroin. I do not fucking understand pillheads. It's like the lowest rent drug addiction that you could have. God damn... alcohol is a more pleasant drug. Except maybe beta blockers. But god damn, I can see myself getting addicted to some beta blockers.
Morally it's about equivalent to giving your buddy some aderall or ritalin or xanex. Which I personally take a dim view of... but a lot of people just don't give a shit.

Clearly the person asking has "a problem" - but it's not always clear what their problem is. Wife's hit me up for my various pain meds I never use after surgeries and such at times, it's not because she's an addict, it's because she's terrible at monitoring her use and/or misplacing prescription bottles. (which of course are limited in how often you can get a refill because they're restricted)
I don't think I'd ever do it for someone outside my immediate circle that I know intimately and know I wouldn't be fueling a drug problem - but different people are going to have different trust thresholds.
Again, I'm not pretending it's some big deal. It's not. But a_skeleton_03's schtick here has always been to present himself as this shining example of Christian morality, so it's fun to catch him out on even a minor thing.

Or maybe, just a maybe here, not for sure but maybe it came up organically in a conversation. A conversation between two humans about what a person is going through after a surgery. Maybe that person then didn't ask but let it slip that they were just popping Motrin because they had ran out. Then the other gullible person who had gone through a surgery and had a couple pills left offered them. The other person said that would be amazing and that they would have a friend drive them down to pick them up. What kind of addict has a friend drive them to pick up a couple pills to get through the weekend thinks the guy? That doesn't sound like an addict to be so open about it, that sounds like somebody in pain with a friend that knows they are in enough pain to need them and will drive them. Boy was I wrong, or maybe I wasn't, neither here nor there at this point.
Well, don't get used to it. I'm just in a slow period for school right now, and this thread seemed to have potential. I'm just trolling a_skeleton_03 while waiting for more interesting developments.
Oh and I never had a doctor or pharmacist I could just call up at the time let alone the middle of the night. I do now but only because I guess cancer patients need drugs at all hours, not this guy though no pain meds for me. Don't want Duppin to hear about it and think I am going to become an addict myself. I guess a medical marijuana card is strictly out of the question as we'll, all because Duppin will think badly of me.
