The amount of effort it takes to reel in the big legendaries is quite exhausting. It's also important to note that you will probably never reel in the really big legendaries if you aren't pulling down on the left stick every 2-3 seconds while rotating the right stick.
Picking someone up in town will incur a kidnapping bounty if anyone sees you, unless it's someone you need to deliver to the sheriff. Don't assume you can arrest, say, a pickpocket either. I knocked the one in St. Denis out and tried to take him to jail, but nope, instant kidnap bounty.
As for the caged people, it's -5 per lawman kill, but +10 for freeing the captive. They often give you info on home robberies and such so I generally free them if there's just two lawmen on the wagon, but if there's two more on horses then forget it.
Yeeeaaahhh just to be one of those annoying folks..Need to get me one of these or the Gar, badass.

There is a map for it that you get in game (from the dude who gives the quest in Chapter 2(?. Or you can just use an online resource. They all spawn in specific places, just like the other Legendary Animals. In order to catch them you need to purchase the three baits from Lagras (small town in the swamp north of St. Denis), Special River Lure, Special Lake Lure, Special Swamp Lure. As long as you are in the correct location (a popup will appear on the top left of the screen when you are), and use that bait, you are 100% guaranteed to hook the fish. The one in the picture above is at the lake in Ambarino on the far left of the map, near where the Legendary Bison and the Arabian Horse are.
My only real story gripe is this game’s endings, both the main game and the epilogue, make the end ending of rdr1 even more of a tragedy.
If they don’t do an rdr1 remake using the assets they have with rdr2 then they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Wrapped up Chapter 6 and am now in Epilogue 2.
Fantastic way to end the game in Chapter 6 I thought
I am also glad it isn't over.
Arthur grew on me in a way a well written character from a book does. You travel with them for awhile and sometimes get bored. However you stick it out to see it's resolve and before you know it you are begging for more. That is good writing.
Yeah, honestly through all of Epilogue 1 and early Ep 2, I was legitimately bummed that I wasn't with Arthur anymore to the point I almost just stopped playing. By the end of Chapter 6, playing good guy, I loved just being in the world as him.
