To tack on to this, yes most of the advice gets to the point where it's only applicable to a subset of women but boy ever is it effective within that subset!. And it's self reinforcing since it works, it convinces a lot of guys that that subset is bigger than it is.
However, in moderation and with greater nuance and understanding a lot of the points are more broadly applicable, and while that sort of discussion is harder to find in TRP, it's not absent. Just toned out by a louder, easier discussion.
Everyone has preferences and shit tests and is jockeying their SMV against yours subconsciously. And knowing how things work as opposed to how we wish things worked is certainly valuable even when you're not with that sad little subset for which the hammer is the best tool always.

I mean Jesus, just 2-3 years ago everyone on this forum was preaching PUA shit left and right on this forum in the girls that broke your heart thread. Getting "loser" video game players like me laid. It wasn't just me that benefited from this advice, but a lot of guys benefitted. Shit like the game, mystery method, Ross Jeffries, etc. But the most elusive thing for a PUA was inner game. Red pill is the inner game. You can learn seduction all you want but without inner game, you'll still be unhappy. Learning WHY game works, and the underlying evolutionary psychology, even if a lot of it is pseudo science really hit a home run for me. I'm happier than I've ever been in my life. And I didn't have to become a millionaire and I've never once bought vip service or even been to a club in the past 3-4 years.

You don't have to be faster than the bear, you just have to be faster than the other guy running from the bear.

A) I make right around 150k a year. I'm 32 and chubby, not very tall. We've discussed that to death already.
B) college students don't tend to have a lot of money
C) she offered to split the tab, this was a pretty nice restaurant, most college girls don't want to pay 20 dollars for a meal. Old beta me would have refused her, said don't worry about it, and paid for her meal. Red pill aware me realized that selfish men make women feel comfortable.

We ended up making out later in my car. Had I paid for her meal, I essentially would have been paying for her to kiss me. Instead she did it because she was attracted to me. The same reason she wanted to pay for her meal, she was attracted and wanted me to think good thoughts about her.

$150k a year? Dumar in particular had been arguing Hypergamy left and right and not long ago there was a drawn out debate over women's preference based on income for online dating sites. Yet here you are dropping a salary reference and then in the very next breath trying to convince us that she made out with you in your car because you didn't pay for her meal...

I mean, just in case you missed it, young kids have been having sex in cars since cars existed. I met this girl on Tinder. I made no reference to how much money I make, although obviously showing up in a newish bmw she knows I make "good" money. She knows I'm an air traffic controller, but most people just assume, "oh, you work at the airport" and those controllers make good money, but more like 80k, not "golddigger attracting" money. In fact she SPECIFICALLY said something like "Long term plans I don't mind if I make more money than a guy, I know most guys can't compete with a MBA".

This is a classic IOI if you're familiar with game, she was qualifying herself to me, she was thinking "I'll make more than you, but don't discount yourself just because of that"

Yes, I consider making out for a few minutes on a first date "ok", but I should have done better, it was my fault for screwing up the logistics, I had talked about bringing over a bottle of wine from my hometown (out of state) and sharing it the previous day... but I had forgotten it and left it at home. So there was no "excuse" for me to escalate and move to a more private location. If she invited me into her apartment it would have been purely for sex, and most women aren't willing to be that "overt" on a first date. They need that plausible deniability. That... omg we were just going to look at my stamp collection at 9pm on a saturday, one thing led to another, and yadda yadda yadda.

Also, I blame myself for failing to escalate soon enough... Saving the kiss for the end of the date is a great way to ensure that nothing more than a kiss happens.
