There really needs to be a remake of Guardian Legend. That game was so ahead of its time. Even today, the entire concept of a shooter+adventure game like that isn't terribly common. That, and master blaster too. That was a great fucking game too.

Strider on NES...wow...haven't played that one in ages. Graphics were pretty good for back then and still look decent today.

Thought I would add to the awesomeness of Strider. I remember my friend paying 120$ plus tax when this game came out.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land was pretty awesome, as was Strider on NES. I forgot they even had an NES version. I also got the Genesis version. Was it really over 100 bucks?! How did I ever convince my mom to buy that shit?!

In between my Hero's Quests and numerous Sierra games, I always had time to improve my education. The Learning Company put out a ton of fun "educational" games in the early 90's.

Curious...if I wanted to play the old Ultima or Kings Quest games...is this even possible?

Is that Blaster Master? That shit was awesome.
Fuck yeah! Can't tell you how many hours I poured into that game back in the day. I was so fucking happy when I beat it, I played it again just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Wii market thing has a new version that just a hyped up version of the original for the most part, but nothing beats the original.

Funny, I always thought the NES Strider sucked. Terribly awkward jump physics made it almost unplayable.

Unlike Bionic Commando, which was actually an improvement over the arcade version!

the game that got me into Sierra adventure games:

Oh and I remember renting a Genesis...yes...a whole system to play this and the "uncut" Mortal Kombat as a kid.
