There is no hard mode Regulos. There are four hard mode encounters and they are all earlier bosses in Endless Eclipse and Frozen Tempest.Yea for shits and giggles i watched a hardmode Regulous kill on twitch the other night. The encounter I think had 5 abilities and none were hard, was like watching a really old WoW end tier boss. Maybe its different when you are there but: kill eyes, kill spines, stack, move 10 feet to right and kill adds didnt seem very complex.
Technically there's Hard Mode Ember Conclave from back in ID, although my guild found it the easiest mode and killed it that way the first time regardless. Bonus loot for us. It was actually a really fun fight with a lot of chaos. There is no hard mode Regulos. There are four hard mode encounters and they are all earlier bosses in Endless Eclipse and Frozen Tempest.
As do I. If their promo is to be believed:http://www.riftgame.com/en/promo/freetoplay.php-- It's quite possibly the least restrictive F2P ever. I played through HK so we'll see what has happened since. Rather liked RoSI can't wait till the F2P patch, looking forward to trying this again.
River of Souls, the second raid released was just a gigantic nightmarish mess of trash.Rivers of trash == ?
Yeah, I actually liked the fights I experienced in there. Honestly, I was pretty happy with Rift raid design in general (stopped raiding before Hammerknell, so I can't comment on anything past that). But god, the trash in RoS was just inexcusable. Pretty much the only thing I've experienced that comes close to the pain of later AQ40 trash (pre-C'thun especially)Some of the RoS fights were pretty good. I didn't really mind them except that there was so much trash it made me want to kill myself. I think there was someone in FOH that actually died while playing.
Nonsense. Sometimes you just need that vex thal trash nostalgia. Mmmmm.Yeah, I actually liked the fights I experienced in there. Think the Raptr deal is still going on. You can get the expansion for free by just leaving the game on at the log in screen for 14(?) hours with the Raptr client up. It will disconnect you but as long as you don't hit the "ok" button, you'll still get credit. It's free to play this weekend too, so you don't have to wait till the 12th to hop in. Of course, you'll have to wait from Tuesday till the 12th to log in again, but you can get a taste now to see if you want to enjoy it again.
I reinstalled it and am having some bit of fun, not sure it'll re-hook me again.
Not sure if this is normal, but I have SL expansion access on my account for some reason. I logged in Thursday for the free play weekend, and it let me take the quests to SL and even level up to 52 so far. The email didn't say anything about SL access for free, and from what I read of the F2P faq, you still have to buy SL in order to access it and the new soul and whatnot. I'm not gonna complain. Of course, come the 12th, we'll see if I can still log in to that character or not or whatever. I should specify I can use the new souls too, as that seems to be gated behind buying SL as well.
They actually did a pass on the trash at some point and it was still awful.Yeah, I actually liked the fights I experienced in there.
