Please. They hit the scene at almost the exact same time and had the exact same group of listeners.

That doesn't make it any less true. If you are talking in that specific period of time referenced in his post, I can see that.

I'm talking 2017. Promotional basket.

People that are going to see Korn or Limp Bizkit are going to see those songs that came out in the early 2000s. I get it. You like Korn and you're offended they could possibly be muttered in the same sentence let alone share a stage. But I think you're an extreme minority here.

In googling for more evidence, I see that Limp Bizkit even used to play a cover of Korn's "Blind" at concerts, with their blessing.

Nobody said Jonathan Davis and Fred Durst weren't close friends whose major record label pushed a bunch of collaborations onto their album releases together and had them tour together for $ promotional purposes.

Limp Bizkit are not singers. Limp Bizkit are not a rock band. and Limp Bizkit are certainly not music.

The decision to put them into the same promotional basket hurt Korn and carried Limp Bizkit who was 100% incapable of getting music fans to listen to them. I don't know how you can mention a group of musicians....its like saying Korn and ICP.

Some of you guys are just looking for arguments.

Limp Bizkit just don't qualify as a music band. Its like saying Eminem is a rapper.

In the commercial sense, yeah, limp bizkit is a "really sick band" with 1 guy who can't sing or play any instruments I guess thats a band these days... damn kids get off my lawn

What the fuck are you even saying? Vedder is out there lecturing his fans who like him for his music on his shitty politics. There is no debating this, I just posted the video moron.

First of all, that was Eddie doing solo work, not PJ - he's prone to make little statements here and there, but the commentary is far less while with Stone and the rest. And even then, in there he's stating his own feelings, not saying people would be wrong to feel otherwise. And I'd be curious where that was specifically recorded - lots of the solo stuff he does is for charity concerts - if it was something like a "for healthcare" charity bashing on Trump would actually be in context of the benefit.

I just find it interesting a guy who can't play an instrument or sing is being listed as a part of the 90's dropoff with actual musicians. It has nothing to do with fandom I'm not a cockgobbling cheerleader like ZyzzYzzy you must have me confused with someone else!

Wes Borland was a pretty sick guitar player, and the songs where Fred just sang were decent.

(For the most part the sucked tho, and I'm ashamed that I spent so much time listening to them in junior high)

Hey if I find a llive performance by Fred Durst where he displays some actual talent at something outside of working with commercial record producers in a closed studio session I'll relent.

Wes Borland. I don't know. If he was so talented what is he doing with a gimmick like Limp Bizkit? Nothing you can say is going to change the fact Bizkit says "gimmick" not "music". Looks like a Twiggy wannabe with all that face-paint and what with the cult worship of Limp Bizkit fans surrounding his alleged talent.

Like Bizkit fans are some authority on guitar... Picard it please because I know i just did.

Intellectual checkmate. Guy lists non-musicians when discussing the drop-off of singing musicians of the 90's (i.e. Chris Cornell, Staley)

Name drops Bizkit, and gets full-on hockey checked into the boards. Fans of "Limp Bizkit" (whatever this is please get it away from me!) get real mad.

I'm back boys.

lol is this a joke? unlike your poor fixed income ass, I've been to quite a few Pearl Jam concerts and I've seen their faggotry first hand. hell, the last time I saw them was back in 2009 when they were shutting down the Spectrum and Obama had been in office for almost a year and they still took 10 minutes of everybody's lives to cry about GWB. honestly, you could have done a quick google search to save yourself from further humiliation. fuck's sake, Pearl Jam wrote a song called "Bushleaguer" which is just an attack on GWB you fucking retard.

Making non-fixed income around $60k these days with commission, thank you very much.

And attacking Bush is a little different than most of his other stuff, and you'll note post-Bushleaguer that sort of stuff isn't common at PJ concerts. Crying about him being mean to Bush and Trump is fucking hilarious in context to other musicians.

Hell, I thought I saw Ministry (or other Al Jourgenson projects) on your list of stuff you like, AJ makes Eddie's hate of Republicans look like nothing. I don't agree with the vitriol from either of them, but it doesn't stop me from appreciating their music.

Hell, there's almost no musicians outside of country someone can appreciate if you can't stand occasional Republican bashing. (and even a few country folks at that...)
