I feel torn about whether or not to reach out to his family. I can see it as a way they can connect with him or with us if they should so choose. But I can also see it as possibly violating what he would have wanted. As Mario says, he might not want everything he said here to be made public. He may have wanted his persona here to be kept private.

If it does happen, I definitely think it should be from someone who considers themself to be his friend.

I lean towards respecting his privacy.
