in regards to the miniyuka
set it all up last weekend. first cut is tomorrow at 9:30 am, and every saturday- unless raining at 9:30 i still have to move a few branches to clear the yard of winter debris.
will give a detaied review on how the cut went this weekend/mondayish.
the yuka has most of the options of the luba, just smaller.
review on setup..first
DO NOT PLAY WITH THE CUTTERS they are fucking Sharp!...nearly needed stitches when my hand slipped and i put an ~half inch deep slice thru my pinkie.
inital review on setup:
downloaded the app,,,,
my phone found both the gps antenna and the mower over bluetooth easily.
updated the gps & mower firmware...
installed the gps antenna off my deck:
There is only one way to screw in the antenna base sideways so that when the pole is screwed in the antenna is positioned correctly & no real way to tell which way it is without premarking the fucking thing, i did it wrong twice. third time was the charm other than that, installation was simple. screw in bluetooth antenna, screw in gps unit to pole, plug it in.
installing the mower base, 4 plastic screws that are 4" long screw into the dirt, took 2 minutes if that. easy.
using my phone, i then drove the mower around the yard perimeter making the maps and the paths to the base.. it all went fine very easy to do. control was easy on the phone, left thumb forward back, right thumb left right. the mower did catch on a bent fence picket but i was on manual mode so manual overrides the hey that is in the way part, that was my fault.
once i had both zones maps, and paths between zones and a route to the base, i had it automatically return to the base. it went fine though it went the long way to the base.
using the app from work i was able to connect to my mower. viewed the video over the internet and drove it a little bit just to see if i could,...i could.
so far thumbs up.
