I have CenturyLink and the speed/stability is not generally an issue. I have bonded to the tune of around 80M.
I pay for a static IP as well for $5/mo so I can easily RDP back home.
So the other day it goes out and no clue why. I have connectivity but can’t access anything. That starts two days of troubleshooting involving one day on the phone with them for 7 hours. They make me go in to the store and get a new modem. No change. I can reach my gateway IP but can’t get past it. I can even ping my “neighbor” IP’s. They finally switch me to DHCP like I asked to help troubleshoot and it works. So it’s only my static IP not working ... they put a ticket in and it’s been two weeks and it isn’t fixed. They are still charging me for it of course.
