As far as modern songs go, Kashmir for sheer music power. Enter Sandman for having image-evoking vocal power.

There's a Between The Buried And Me song that stands out to be as completely incredible, but I don't remember the name of it whatsoever. Used to listen to it a lot too.

I dunno about just one song, but if we're in the modern era, there's only on singer/songwriter who has consistently sung lyrics that resonated with me coupled with music and rhythm that generally kicks ass:

Chris Cornell.

Close runner-up: Beck.

It would be difficult to pick a single song from either of them because their (almost) entire oeuvre is of amazing songs.
