Yeah, not sure why he needed to evacuate an entire island for his server room. You'd think that would raise suspicion. You're right though, at least it wasn't on the Moon.

Because he could. He even somewhat explained why he did it, to prove that he could do anything with a computer. Over the top? Sure, but this is a Bond villain of course

I enjoyed the movie, agree that it does not need to be seen at a theater. Will get a copy for home though. Performances were great, even with the convoluted plot, wow what a villain!

Craig is a good Bond, but I think most of it is the writing. A lot of past Bond films were almost slapstick, and they're not doing that shit now.

I didn't like the ending sequence at the old place. Computers blah blah, I'm sure they had some old WW2 bunker they could have used that wasn't hooked up to the internet.

tried to watch this movie last night, didn't have any expectations, still didn't make it completely through the movie. story was too boring and the details way to annoying. i wish they would ban everything to do with computers from movies. remote decrypting a hard disk using the computer in M's office? last movie that got everything right regarding computers and hacking was Office Space

Didnt see a Skyfall thread yet.

Anyway, I was watching this again and noticed something during the song/opening credits scene. I have to believe it was intentional and if you were paying enough attention would be a significant spoiler of foreshadowing.

During the opening song when it gets to announcing Jedi Dench as M it is done during the graveyard scene and her name is the only name in the dead center of the screen and low and behold a grave pops up in the center of screen at the last possible moment signifying obviously that she is going to die.

Anyone else catch that?
Wait... Dench has gone from dame to Jedi? when the shit did this happen?

I had problems with this movie. Foremost, did the black bitch only have one bullet in her sniper rifle? She shoots Bond then gives the villain a long, wistful glance for a good ten seconds. The entire time I'm yelling, "Take another shot Tykwoneeshia!!!!!!!"

What was that awkward gay bromance scene between Bond and the villain about? It came out of nowhere, served no plot purpose, and injected faggotry into my Bond movie.

Throughout the movie Bond has one bullet wound scar, but he was shot twice.

Bond survives that long ass drop into water headfirst. His brain would be scrambled eggs.

Stupid cliche hack the gibson computer crap.

one point in defense of the movie since so many people seem to find the scene with CNN in the hut/beach bar implausible: he is in turkey on a beach. turkey is a NATO country and one of the most european countrys in the middle east (hell, it's even supposed to join the EU) of course they have access to satellite tv.

Yeah this pretty much sums it up for me.
That "trailer" is more accurate than any review I've seen of the movie. Even as someone who thought QoS was just as good as Casino Royale, I found Skyfall unbearably bad. Hell, it was Timothy Dalton bad.

After repeated viewings I am forced to conclude that Skyfall really is the worst out of all 3 Craig Bonds.

Just saw SkyFall last night, totally disappointed. Basically felt like the James Bond version of Assault on Precinct 13.

Also, total lack of character development for Javier Bardem. I can't possibly disagree anymore with the apparent consensus that he's the best villain yet.

The only positives that I found were:

1. Despite my love of Craig as Bond, it's time for him to go and this movie to me was Craig's exit
2. They reintroduced Q & M and Moneypenny with new actors which bodes well for whichever direction they go with the films.
