I'm assuming that switching phones/plans as basically a new customer now, you probably can't get unlimited data anymore on Verizon? Sprint still has unlimited data, it's just slower than most other carriers. So I guess it depends on if you want to be limited and fast, or unlimited and slower.Question: I have a Galaxy S3 on Verizon now through work but am changing jobs soon so I need to get my own phone for the first time. I'm kind of addicted to 4G and unlimited data and would like to keep it. A few family members also have a work discount through Sprint I could get on. Both Sprint and Verizon have 4G in the area I'm moving. Is there any reason to pick one or the other? I've never had to manage my own phone bill before so any help would be appreciated.
I'd honestly check your monthly statements(if you have access to them from your work) and see what kind of data usage you are using each month. A lot of people think they use a TON of data and it only ends up being 2 or 3 GB per month. Accessing mobile versions of websites really cuts down on the overall usage compared to using a laptop/desktop for web surfing. If you're only using a couple gigs a month, then you'd be fine with any carrier, as I think all of them offer data plans at least up to that range without throttling/overage charges.
