Sometimes what you perceive as less battery life is also your old phone working harder to use all the stuff you've put on it.
Is it saved to an SD card?It seems like half my fucking music doesn't show up. I thought I figured it out but it only seemed to help that one album.
You can get a Material Design or other skins for Power Amp to change the look. I thought the same thing (that it is relatively ugly with the stock skin) and got a Material Design skin for it, this one specifically:Poweramp skin MaterialWell Power Amp sees it all just fine. It doesn't look as spiffy as Google Music but at least it fucking works.
I was reading some comments on the upgrade, apparently it's something with the Verizon version exclusively with bricking from how the comments read. And the screen touching thing is weird, I can't repeat it myself - but I do have dainty fingers for a man (plus was doing some supergluing about an hour ago, so tests right now are with that extra "layer of skin" from superglue)Well, my HTC One M8 bricked itself last night trying to upgrade to Lollipop, so I have to waste my lunch trying to get it fixed (probably just re-flashed). Side info, it was completely stock, no rooting or anything, so no clue why it fucked itself, and I tried all the online tips to fix it, up to and including a factory reset, and it still won't go beyond the Verizon logo screen. I'm on that rape-you-in-the-ass Verizon Edge plan so I'm actually eligible for an upgrade this month, and am considering just getting a new phone because I've never liked the notification light on this thing, and I get that weird issue where if it is plugged in to charge while I'm using it, it doesn't interpret my screen touches where I'm really touching sometimes. For example, I'll press the 3 on the dialer, and it will light up the 1 instead.
Great, that means the place will probably be packed with people needing the same help I do. The screen thing is hit or miss, sometimes I can play Summoner's War for hours (with it plugged in to charge, since that game rapes your battery) and it will be fine, then all of a sudden I'll tap the far right guy to attack, and it attacks someone on the other side of the screen. Or I'll plug it in to charge and then start typing a text message, and immediately it gets all garbled because of the fucked up touches. So there is no rhyme or reason for it, but I can't get it to go away permanently no matter which charger I use. It is likely an issue with my specific phone, but still.I was reading some comments on the upgrade, apparently it's something with the Verizon version exclusively with bricking from how the comments read. That's my birthday! But even if they upgraded the notification light to the 21st century, I'm skipping HTC this go around. There is nothing about it I feel I need to have over a different manufacturer. And I don't really like the social media page they want you to take up an entire screen with (I realize I can turn it off). I can't remember the last time I've owned a Samsung phone, so I think it is about time for one. It is just a matter of whether or not I can comfortably fit a Note 4/Edge in my front jeans pocket that determines if I get one of those or an S5 I suppose. The HTC One M9 comes out on April 11.
