That AMadrid vs Barca game was so boring
Really? I thought it was pretty good as the action was end to end with chances for both sides. Certainly more like an English game compared to the usual Barca games where they are camped right outside the opposition 18yd box looking for openings.

No question City are riding their luck at the moment. Newcastle got fucked over by with the disallowed goal. I had to lol at Pardrew calling Pellegrini a fucking old cunt on the sidelines though.

Well to continue the shocking calls by the refs today, that penalty Liverpool just got was equally terrible. Looks more like Sterling is diving than a penalty imo.

Even Jan M?lby who is commentating the match here said it was a very dubious decision, and that guy is usuallyverypro Liverpool when he commentates, lol.

Sterling Pen was not a dive but it was a weak pen.

Sucks to allow 3 to stoke but it's hard not to win when you score 5 away.... Suarez and Sturridge are soo good I can't see LFC not at least getting top 4 if they stay healthy or only miss a few games. Amazingly Stoke had only allowed in 7 all year at home prior...

ManU had an important win, I feel some have been quick to write them off but It's ahrd to see them getting into Champions League at this point.

Soft penalty, but it's not a dive. There's very clear contact. Could he have stayed on his feet if he wanted? Absolutely. Was it a poor challenge in a position where Sterling had very low chances of creating anything? Yep. Do I think it should be a penalty? Nope.

Glad to be back in the top 4 after a weak day. I thought only Gerrard, Suarez and Sturridge performed well, honorable mentions to Sterling. Gerrard+Lucas as defensive anchors needs some serious work before they start gelling, though. They kept running in eachothers' feet, Lucas isn't used to having company back there, and Gerrard is a bit too hungry for counter-attacks. The second Stoke goal was partly a terrible pass by Henderson, but also a movement mistake from Gerrard considering his position. A more typical midfield anchor doesn't go for the offensive run there, he stays as an easy stationary pass target behind the ball. The third goal was poor communication between Lucas and Gerrard. Gerrard did do a fantastic job of dropping back behind the center backs several times, though. I agree with Carra on Sky - I can totally see Gerrard as a center back next to some physical giant in a season or two, maybe even in a 3 center back line.

Man U are 5 points behind 4th, have decent depth to the squad (outside of their two best players, they pretty much have 2+ equally mediocre players for every spot), lots of experience in key positions when stakes get high, and are more likely than anyone to get reinforced in January. I'd still put my money on City - Chelsea - Arse - Man U as top 4 at the end of the season.

Both Johnson and Cissoko were a joke today, when you make Charlie Adam look good then that's all that needs to be said. Johnson seems to have just lost it and Cissoko just isn't good. Stoke had the most crosses in 1 game this season in the entire league. Gerrard performed well? Pretty sure he gave away the ball away the most of any LFC player today on top of having no idea how to help Aly who was being overrun. Sterling was MotM for me.

ManU had 39% possession at home to Swansea, they are going to get spanked next week vs. Chelsea.

Awful from the Mancs - thought they started really well, but didn't take their chances at all and then you allow Eto'o to drop 3 on you... 3 teams seem to be pulling away a bit, and the race for 4th seems to be heating up. Surprised how well Spurs have done since Sherwood has taken over, and Ade$$or has been playing really well. Pool/Everton should be decent next weekend.

The fact that Spurs are level on points with LFC and have looked utter shit in any game vs. a good team is pretty lame. Everton can actually go above us with a win tomorrow. Need a healthy defense and better midfield balance, hopefully Lucas's injury isn't serious.

As far as ManUre today, if Moyes truly believes their set piece defending was the only difference then I'd like some of the drugs he's taking. Chelsea could have won by 4 or 5, it wasn't really close.

Moyes played 48 away games against Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea during his time at Everton. Never won one. How anyone can think he'll come good in time is beyond me. Anyway, loving the work he's doing at Utd!!

Mata to Manure seems to be picking up some real steam. Not sure he's exactly what they need but an attack of RVP/Roo/Mata is pretty damn good - think this might be a push for them..

Fucking Mourinho, what an absolute faggot. Refuses to loan Arsenal a shit striker (Demba Ba) in the summer, but willing to sell their best player the past 2 seasons to United. Seems legit. Chelshit is the scummiest, shittiest, most abhorrent club in any sport, ever.

Rival or not I'll be pretty amazed if they do indeed sell him. One injury to Willian, Hazard or Oscar and he's back starting and I can't see him getting dropped from the Spain squad over this shit.

Chelsea selling Mata to a domestic rival is complete madness. This could do to United what Ozil did to Arsenal FFS. Please Abramovich, step in and gutter this deal you fool!

The logic seems to be that Utd still have Arsenal and City to play, meaning that if Utd are stronger with Mata that improves Chelsea's chances of winning the PL.

Ridiculous logic imo...it would be far better for Chelsea's long term chances of success for Utd to drop out the CL, have to play in the Europa League and find it harder to attract players.

The other theory is that Jose still wants the Utd job and this is all about improving his relationship with the club.

Wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho lets this drag out until the last day of the transfer window, then closes the deal, not allowing United any time to get in anyone else.
