I have to guess Moyes thinks he can play Football Manager online with Pep? Otherwise I don't understand what he's saying unless Pep is going to leave Bayern for a Europa League team.....

John Brewin ?@JohnBrewinESPN 13m
Moyes on Guardiola: "Really looking forward to coming up against him. I've no doubt I'll be doing it plenty of times in the future."

Every ref sucks because of all the Oscar-winning performances going on out there. No one can get it right from a distance, at a certain angle, at full speed, and a single look.
Part of the problem is refs don't give penalties unless the players go down. Suarez went quite a while without diving and should have had a few penalties but didn't get them because he didn't go down.

Referees in this country are useless. They decide who wins the league. You make a good point though and frankly this sport should be embracing technology because the argument of human involvement/potential error is way out of date.

I have not seen the matches but these results are somewhat unexpected! The all spanish affair less so, but still... What is less surprising is the lack of Brando post mocking Moyes and singing the praises of Barcelona and Guardiola!

I, for one, am hoping that Man U has a terrific end to the season and relieve the pressure on Moyes so that he gets to stay for another few seasons.

Au Contraire mein fraulein!! Never has a draw been hailed as such a massive victory in ManUre history!! Moyesiah's slow transformation of them into Everton continues when you can win without even winning, it's glorious!. Bayern haven't impressed against either Arsenal nor ManU to the extent they did in the group stages but with that said they were certainly the dominant team and should have tried to do more. I don't see it hurting them as Moyes will show up in Munich telling the boys they did well just to be in the tie and have already won so the result doesn't matter.

Correct, it is 2 transfer windows instead of 2 years. So Summer 2014, Winter 2015 and then they can transfer in Summer 2015. Barcelona has already said they will appeal as this involves signing kids for the U18 squad. There are 3 instances where you can do this which are:

Under-18s can move to a club in a different country if their parents move there for non-footballing reasons, if they are from another nation within the European Union or European Economic Area and aged between 16 and 18, or if they live within 100km of the club.

The FIFA report doesn't say which rule was violated and Arsenal, LFC, ManU, ManC, Chelsea all have players from other countries in their academies so more info is needed to understand what happened here.

Forget Ter Stegen, the main one would be Halilovic who while only 18 looks like once of the best young players in the world. ManC was offering him obscene money apparently.

Their semi final legs would be 3 days before and 3 days after they visit Anfield
Mourinho is turning on his own players now just like he did last year at RM where they won shit and he got ran out of town. He claimed today he had to start Schurrle as a false 9 as the rest of his strikers were shit. That may be true but to say that publicly isn't great for squad harmony I would guess. I have no concerns about playing them at Anfield on the 27th, LFC is a better team right now. Plain and simple.

I just love how everyone is hiding behind the stupid "no to racism" campaign, only to drag it on without pause.

Also funny, the no to racism ad features most European languages, but when I saw the add on an English and a French stream the last two days, the German part is cut out.

All they said was "you dirty schwein" - hardly racist - he got red carded and it's a play on his name. I'm sure Bild is guilty with similar headlines

It doesn't have to be racist to be insulting. If you can justify generic anti-German hate in England because Bild is doing the same, fine. Can you prove it?

Well, The Daily Mirror and The Sun are hardly the pinnacle of news reporting

How is it insulting?

"you dirty swine" in English is/was a pretty common thing to hear, it's hardly offensive at all. "you dirty schwein" means exactly the same thing and is a play on his name.

You dont call one a pig, even if its a play on his name. Yeah he got sent off but also scored, public (eg. papers, tabs, magazines) should show some respect towards a scorer.
Esp when Uefa is running a "respect" campaign for years.
