Zlatan always finds a way to get noticed. But he's really late on in the career at this point.

As much as the international break sucks, watching Salah and Ronaldo do their thing was enjoyable.

Dude is a giant douche, but he sure can play. Ronaldo's goal was a bit better than the one our local hero, Guillaume Hoarau, scored on the weekend however his was nice too. I posted about this a couple weeks ago but my local team is on track to win their first title in 32 years. We tied with the team in second place this weekend so we are 16 points up still with 30 left up for grabs, will take a monumental collapse to blow it now. Here's a link to that nice goal I was talking about.

Ronaldo is the best ever. Seriously, what he is doing for his brand, and the shit he pulls is just fucking ridiculous and seems to be fiction. From his 18 year old frosty tip days at Old Trafford, to his 33 year old up and down campaign, where he has now scored in TEN straight Champions League ties, leads the CL in goals scored AGAIN, looks like he might have a chance to win a third straight title, (4th in 5 years) and etches a goal for the history books with a highlight reel, EA Sports fucking bicycle kick.

He also scored 3 goals against Hungary in the 2016 Euro Championship, with Portugal on the precipice of defeat, one of them, a magical, for the tales of time back-heel flick that I will never forget as I watched it happen live. The Stadium went insane, and they went onto advance and win the title, securing the first piece of Silverware in the history of his prestigious country. (Something the golden age with Figo and company couldnt, he could, basically by himself, although big shout out to Renato Sanches and Eder!)

So, since 2016 the guy has bagged over 130 goals for club and country, took home a major international title and won 2 straight CL titles and 3 in 4 years, and looks like maybe 4 in 5. Its just ridiculous. Even this year he has 39 goals in all competitions now I believe and looks like he might finish at 50 and is fit again, hitting on assists as well, pacing the offense.

Real Madrid would be a fucking trash team without Cristiano, Im sorry.

If he wins the World Cup this Summer then I really will think the shit is fixed or something because that would just be a fairy tale at that point for him.

yeah, I don't get all the hate for Ronaldo. I've *never* seen him do or say anything that would make him look arrogant or a douche. it's 100% people talking about how much of a douche he is, usually supporters of clubs he's recently beaten.

Euro 2016 - let's remember one thing here, Ronaldo was the only true star player (maybe besides Nani) on a team full of bench players in secondary leagues such as Segunda Division or Süper Lig, a team full of nobodies that any club in the quarterfinals in the CL right now wouldn't even look at for five minutes. And he led that team to win the god damn thing. This was not a golden generation like Luis Figo had around him in 2004 when they manged to lose to GREECE. This was a very mediocre team. And they won.

What did that supposedly better Messi do so far btw? Oh yeah, he retired from the national team like a sulking baby when he was like 28, because it wasn't going too well for them, despite all these A-rated top players surrounding him. I'll never forget how Hand of God tried to send Thomas Müller away at the press conference prior to the 2010 world cup game, thinking he was a nobody, and then we fucked Maradona and Messi hard in the ass Four Nil and sent them packing to Buenos Aires.

He's not gonna win the world cup with that team, though.
