Honestly because thats how things change. Someone gets fed up with it and takes it upon themselves to change it as they see fit. People that just wish change came from other people and assume it to be easy are pretty much useless. You wont get the change you expect exactly until you do it yourself.

well thats already been replicated pretty well. What more do you think should be done to expand upon whats already in existence? Take that information and send it to someone working on the project. It seems like the best chance you will get at getting something out of what you are complaining about.

Replicated where? I wanna play it. Also most people that can make a server, make it to their own idea of what would be good. They wouldn't want to hear my ideas for a server. Also this thread wasn't really supposed to be about the servers themselves. It was supposed to be about the creation of them and also EQ Emu's bad account creation/management.

EQEMU folks do a great job though. They have already invested more effort than a 17 year old fading game warrants IMHO, and as already stated, with very little help and information compared to the enormous Wow community. A very commendable tribute to a great game in its prime.

Its honestly not important for anyone to improve on account management/creation. Its easy enough, people seem to be able to figure out how to use it. What do you want it to be? More accessible? More modern? I mean, it works, you can log in and create accounts. Its not broken. If you cant recover your accounts through SMS you're doing it wrong. If you dont like it, just play on TAKP, they have great login/account management tools. Plus creating another server list and emu would just split the tiny community that eq emulation is even further. I mean TAKP used to not even be on EQemu server listings, the biggest reason they are on the server list is to attract more users. So its obvious they want to increase the amount of users through going using eqemu.

You seem to think complaining about something will solve something. It wont. Provide your own solutions, start coding!

I think the real reason you are mad is because you forgot your account pw. Has nothing to do with the folks that created the shit you use for no pay. But yeah, go ahead and bitch at them.

And no EQemu devs or any emu/Open source dev needs to be nice/professional to you. They do this shit for nothing. They arent gaining a damn thing from attracting you. If you want professionalism, go pay monthly for an active MMO that is ran for profit. You came here criticizing shit people work on, offered nothing, and people called you out for it.

I haven't forgot my password, I have access to about 20 eq emu accounts, but some of them are "unverified" and when googling it I found countless posts of people who did lose their password and all their characters.

WAT? 40 is not 20 more than 1. Learn to count. To log in 24 accounts one by one and having to type passwords in each one etc. is a huge chore. If the accounts are working properly you can login all of them with a single click.
