To counter Gavin, I think it did everything that type of show is supposed to do extremely well. For a season 2, it was top notch. It provided almost constant action, great animation especially during the fights, extreme powerups of the antagonist, some building of the storyline, and a solid finish that left you wanting another season. It's story isn't as strong as the manga and the Beru fight could have lasted longer but that's just nitpicking common issues with anime.
You need to read the actual book. It's so much better than the manga. And the manga goes off on a complete left turn at some point.

Well, technically it started off as a web novel. But the author signed with a publisher that had a quality editor that fixed the story even more. You can... *cough* Find the whole thing on Hi-C.
Ecto Cooler or bust. But honestly, when I was a kid, I always thought it tasted a little like corn.
I'd much rather get the McDonald's Hi-C, Orange Lavaburst.

Novel is always the best choice, I've never been able to get into almost any manga because the format lacks detail too much for me.

It is funny how predictable anime can be. We are watching two shows, one episode of the shorter one, and two of the longer one, each night.

2 nights ago they both were at a summer festival with fireworks. Last night both shows went camping :emoji_laughing:

I did. The written version is always better but as an anime, I think they did a really good job. I've read all my favorites up to a certain point and slack off only to maintain a stock of unwritten content for slow times. Same with anime. This season is looking like a time to catch up on past content unfortunately.

I'm the complete opposite. The novels always feel like weak books and Manga seem like better comics. Since I grew up on books and comics, and manga brings back that feeling I'd get when getting a good comic, it's the manga for me.

A strong light novel series to get into is Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. They had an anime way back in early 2016. There's currently 20 novels in English, with the 21st due to come out in a month or two. I think the 22nd will be the final novel. This is a really well written series.

The story telling in sword of the demon hunter is pretty great. I didnt even realize episode 2 until its final 3 minutes but it fit so nicely. How the hell this ended up on HiDive is beyond me but kudos to them.

Demon Slayer story vibes initially but better story telling.

Moonrise waas hot garbage, hours of your life you cant get back.

Enjoyed both To Be Hero X and Lazerus. Those should be entertaining watches this season.

Really? I was really looking forward to it.

If you dont think it may be okay but...

MC lies and people die, lies more and more people die, others lie and people die. This is about an AI overlord who hates humanity and is purposely leading them to commit genocide and they are going along with it.

I think one of the points is that the standard story setups are all so generic. Because you're really watching to see what the characters you have interest in would do at said generic event to go to...

are we not going to discuss the peak show of the season year?
Please don't post Sakamoto Days spoilers yet... I'm not done with the season.

I did watch this show a couple weeks ago and it is really good. Shame it didn't get more seasons but I guess it didn't really need them.

The ending of episode 2 was kinda masterful storytelling. How they alluded to everything the entire episode but still managed not to make it too obvious was great.

That aside BTTH going full bore with Yao Chen finally getting his body back.
