I didn't think there were any more than maybe 5 filler eps in HxH 2011. It along with One Piece and Kenshin are the only loooong Shounen's I've found to be any good at all.

Kabaneri really the only anime this season I'm watching, haven't gotten a chance to check out Re: Zero yet. But most everything else I've checked is standard fare, annoying/dumb, or had aspects that disinterested me (Macross)

Dude...My top two scenes in any anime may be Gon turning into Jesus redonkculous Christ. Gon waiting on Pitou to finish operating on that little girl was nuts. NO action, Just Gon letting her know, if in 2 hours you aint finished...you're dead. If she dies. You're dead. Shit was intense.

That's the insect arc. The beginning of that Arc bothered me. It was a little too "DBZ-esque" for my taste. Yes, it had some really great moments, but the show seemed to lose its initial direction with that arc. That said, I'm still looking forward to watching what comes next. Oh, and I fucked up earlier. Hunter exam wasn't my favorite part. Greed Island was! That shit was awesome.

Appearance similar sure but that can be said about 80% of anime characters nowadays. Personality was leaps apart to the extent that beyond his sheer strength none of the abilities could be close at all. His strength had no equal besides SSJ Gon and besides the method used to kill him, his plan for world conquest wasnt far fetched.
So that last episode of the lost village.
WTF? Is that like one of those big thanksgiving day parade balloons or something? I am still totally convinced this is like some tv/cacndid camera or social experiment thing going on instead of it being supernatural.

Its supernatural - or the like - they are all seeing/hearing something that only THEY will recognize - she saw a big version of mitsuhine or w/e and other guy is hearing laughing while some hearing growls etc.
