Oh you must be frenzied if you think Blaylock had anything on Russ when it came to portraying a Vulcan. I will grant you the incredible hotness and the sharp features, all of which I'm sure helped her in the casting process, but beyond that she was fuck useless as a Vulcan. Also, I don't get the Tuvok apathy. Tim Russ, for me, was the best Vulcan of them all, next to Nimoy, of course. He always managed to find that ground where he was stoic and generally unmoved on the surface, but underneath he had that roiling Vulcan blood in him and sometimes you could tell. No other actor, including Zachary, has hit the right chord for me, although I think Zachy baby did a fine job and I enjoyed Abrams' take on Star Trek.
