i don't understand why you think the DLCs are must haves. we don't know shit about them, they aren't out for months, and most people are going to be bored of the game within a month or two. i paid $40 for the game, have gotten about $40 of entertainment out of it, and am gonna trade it in next week for about $40 so a free rental is worth it to me

in a year the game will be free on EA Access and $20 for the full bundle on PC. Its a bummer though the back end isn't shared on all platforms, like if you play on PS4 and then switch to PC (or vica versa) you have to relevel but thats been true for every game except final fantasy XIV.

Because that should have been the other 40% of the content included in the box. The content is completely scarce for full price.

On a side note, they totally must have messed up at Best Buy. I am in the market for a new Sub for my home theater set up, and was looking at the Klipsche Sub I wanted. (Thing is sweet). So I also was looking at games and was thinking of picking up an old used copy of 1886 or Evil Within, and low and behold... I saw Battlefront for $29.99 used for PS4. I am guessing someone made an oops and mistook it with Battlefield 4 or something. I brought it up to see what would happen thinking something would get flagged, and wham. The price DROPPED TO 19 at the register! Ha!

I am the proud new owner of a 3 day old Battlefront game for $19 bucks on PS4. Right where the price should have been from the onset.

Utnayan's words flow from the gaming Gods. And every once in a while, the gaming Gods give back to Utnayan. I had about 4 hours left to dick around with it on my Xbox One, so I made sure EA Access was cancelled just now.

And then to add some more wtf to the moment, I saw my sub on sale for $229 from $499 on Amazon.

Can't really read sales much from that but the PC version seems fairly low, if it follows hardline it'll be under 1k in a month or two. Literally no one is playing hardline anymore, total players (on ALL platforms) is currently 15k. BF4 still doing pretty well, 10-20k on each platform although weirdly more on PS3 and PS4 than PC

traded my ps4 copy into gamestop for $40, may rebuy down the road later for $20 or less just to play something star wars once a month. couldn't make it past level 11, just got kinda bored - really wanted the jump pack too (level 13) but so boring. breaks the cardinal rule of FPS: easy to play, hard to master. The only thing to really master in this map is memorizing all the good powerups on every map, doesn't feel like there is a big skill gap between noob and pro past that unlike something like BO3 where i feel like I could spend another 100 hours playing and improve slowly.

When BF4 first came out for PS3/PS4, Amazon had a deal near black friday where you could get the game for like $20, and then it was only a few dollars to upgrade the PS3 version to PS4 (or free, can't remember), so I'm sure the sales were way better on Sony platforms.

Considering I paid $19 bucks for this, I am getting my value out of it now. I wouldn't pay anything more than that.

But yeah, the guns are all completely the same for the most part. Your E-11 blaster will be just as good as anything else out there for imperials and once you unlock it for the rebels it's probably just going to be your go to gun. The only one I am looking forward to trying is the 3 shot short burst rifle you can unlock at rank 17.

Played a lot of Droid Run last night which was kind of fun. I am experimenting with more game modes other than Walker Assault. The game is VERY shallow. The only way this thing gets redeemed is with a Death Star Trench run game mode from the original Death Star, or a Reactor run/defense from the 2nd Death Star. Something that should have been in this thing to begin with.

Was looking forward to unlocking that one too, but it blows. I used it for a couple matches then went back to whatever pistol I had unlocked a few earlier.


Also, if you play Walker Assault, put the ion grenade and ion locking missile thing in a alternate hand for when the AT-AT is vulnerable. If you go underneath and use them on the belly, you can take them down pretty quickly

The sniper-ish rifles are pretty good and there is a hand item you can unlock that has a 15-18 sec recharge and shoots a homing rocket super far, those are the only ones I found that were good. the rest of the guns felt like I finally understood why storm troopers never killed anything

there was a shotgun that wasn't bad but the range was terrible so 90% of the time you'd just stare forlornly at a guy across the map thinking about how you wish you had equipped a sniper rifle

Find it hilarious how great a complete cash in like battlefront looks compared to FO4. The texture work in FO4 is shockingly atrocious, like you would think this game was made 10+ years ago.
