I for one hope it tanks harder than anything ever has, and drags EA screaming into holy R'Lyeh, triggering an industry wide collapse from which we are forced to rebuild based on 1998 level PC gaming tech.

But that's just me.

I'm pretty sure Starwars Fans encompass a lot of individuals who would never pick up a Battlefield title even if they will play remarkably similar. I'm pretty sure they can be burned at least once by the battlefield+expansion maps $120/year fps plan. Additionally there have not been any star wars games of much merit in years. If you recall the abortions that were rogue squadron and the like on the gamecube that were just pieces of royal shit. Starwars FPS hasn't really been done since dark forces and that is ancient. Battlefront was 04/05(2). The only decent games that come to my brain - and they are surely flawed - are the Force Unleashed titles.

On top of that, there has not been a contemporary multiplayer Starwars title since the most recent console generations are basically online enabled even with the bargain bin model. I think PC gamers have a much longer history of multiplayer gaming and this game doesn't offer me anything I haven't done - for any Battlefield player this will be a Starwars themed reskin. This title will sell stupidly, even if I wish it wouldn't.

The gameplay trailer is amazing. I'm sold 1000% on this game. It just oozes old school Star Wars goodness.

Well, i said EA: never again. But from what i've seen from this years E3, this is the game i'm most excited about. I hope the game can live up to what was shown in the trailers and gameplay vids. Looks like epic fun stuff, even without single player campaign.

Game looks much better than I thought... Gonna be a much tougher choice between this and Fallout 4 in November than I initially anticipated.
