lol, yeah he was trying really hard to sell that stinker. what a silly thing to say. i could name 20 bad black lead movies that were better than Red Tails.
I dunno Dark City is pretty fucking amazing still.and much like the other previously mentioned examples there's a clear cut winner for each of those pairs lol
The theatrical cut of Dark City literally ruined the fucking movie.I dunno Dark City is pretty fucking amazing still.
this is the result of somebody too old to handle a job and no young person competent enough to replace him. this shit is happening everywhere.Another attack on the fandom from the Kennedy camp.
Iger knew Star Wars-- so when things came across his desk, he had input from a fan standpoint. Chapek doesn't seem to really have his own opinions, and that opens the door for him to take whatever opinions he's given. Iger drastically changed the development of TFA (unprecedented involvement on TFA's script and direction) and Rise with much of the same direct input, love it or hate it-- at least he showed some interest in the welfare of the franchise.
This Chapek guy is likely a major woketard via just not being "all there" as a CEO. A hair worse than just living in Iger's shadow.
Star Wars is in the hands of a fuckwit.
People used to have to do time in the trenches before they were given their own ball to run with. It was the norm damn near in everything. People seem to have forgotten that it takes hard work to get good at something in addition to being talented. Jerry Seinfeld is a perfect example of this. It took him 5 years to become an overnight success. This is also a prime example of why comedians these days are pure trash. None of them had to spend any time in night clubs honing their craft.this is the result of somebody too old to handle a job and no young person competent enough to replace him. this shit is happening everywhere.
yep, i was just watching the Critical Drinker's review of the 2015 Fantastic 4 movie. basically, they gave Josh Trank a 120 million dollar budget to make the movie when his previous work was some low budget super hero movie that was just ok. dude didnt even try to learn what Fantastic 4 was about. nobody cared, they just said make the fucking thing and send it through. the guy couldnt even handle that. he made some halfassed mess that wasnt even fleshed out and then started binge drinking and scoring drugs and stopped working on the movie and got fired. then he blamed the studio. pretty funny.People used to have to do time in the trenches before they were given their own ball to run with. These days, they give inexperienced hacks entire franchises to screw around with. RJ went to production with the FIRST DRAFT of his Star Wars script. Shit like that would have gotten you shot 20 years ago.
There are exceptions to this, but by and large people had to get good by doing over a period of time. Now they show up and run with the first thing they pinched out and then wonder why no one likes their work.

the other problem is with their diversity hires failing upwards because nobody wants them in their departments so they end up running those companies because it would be bigoted not to. they werent qualified to get coffee, but now they are expected to make sure a billion dollar corporation is profitable?I'm talking about the kind of fuckwit that thinks there is huge demand for Rian Johnson's trilogy based on the 1.3b box office of TLJ.
Being morbidly obese at his age and stepping into that role speaks further to something being up with this guy. I'm struggling to think of fat CEO's of fortune 500's that were promoted into the role while being 200 pounds overweight. As you said, they truly had nobody else and Iger was tired and old. Nail on head.

If it's 3 hours and 45 minutes of unseen footage it might have a chance!J.J. Abrams' 4-Hour Cut of The Rise of Skywalker Reportedly Exists, Will it Release?
I think we can all agree that Zack Snyder's Justice League pretty much proved that even a god-awful film can be improved by not trying to compromise the important aspects of it and whatnot. But considering the theatrical norm, I don't think moviegoers are ready to sit through 4 hours of the film...epicstream.com
please don’t..
No matter how much I want to, things like this are why I can never hate you chuk.its all unseen footage to me
