Jesus H. Christ this is so good. Where the hell can I get a hold of the De-Specialised versions?

Also, who plays Anakin's Force Ghost in this? Hyden Christiansen or Sebastian Shaw? If it's the former then it would probably be the only fuckup they'd have done.
ive never seen the 4k or recent versions of the despecialaized edition. i saw the the one where they fixed everything . its glorious. google has plenty of links if you type in "star wars despecialized edition 4k download"

short fan movie done entirely inside Unreal Engine 5. its a test for a mini series the creators wanna do

tech suits and environments look good but the human face at the end still looks awful

So after days of begging, I let my toddler watch the original Star Wars. He has no idea bout the big reveal in empire. He thought Vader was a good guy because he’s on some shirts I have and he has. That little bit of idealism got popped.

he was glued. Particularly during the space sequences, but even seemed mesmerized by the lame ass lightsaber duel. It helps that he gets essentially zero screen time so this is like getting a hit of crack and heroin. Asked to watch again.

as bad as this franchise is, seeing empire for the first time was a big deal to me and one of those moments I never forgot growing up. I don’t think 3 is old enough to process that movie. Might let him rewatch the first a few more times.

Great review of TFA but more importantly I didn't know Harrison Ford had multiple plot lines added to the movie in post-production.

Video covers a few examples of ADR and fills in why Carrie Fisher was wooden and not very reactive to what we are hearing on screen-- the reason being, she didn't actually hear or read any of those things in the script.

JarJar Abrams had to add critical plot elements in post-production because he's such a fucking hack. He failed to give these scenes any gravity while actually filming them.

The ADR is down right fucking atrocious.

Entire Harrison Ford lines were added in post. And this was the best Disney could do for Episode 9 was to crawl on their knees and beg this hack to come back and finish the trilogy.

Do you know how I know that Hollywood is not a meritocracy? Because the same group of 10 or so fucking idiots are allowed to ruin beloved franchises and lose BILLIONS with a B in revenue with their shitty ideas and the studio heads just keep on hiring them.
yeah, but they had a well rated TV show and a few successful films 15 years ago. they are due for a hit! any day now.

Lindelof rescued his rep with The LeftOvers and Watchmen (TV show) both of which were critical and commercial successes in the past 5 years. He also wrote the movie The Hunt starring Bettie Gilpin, that was that movie 2 years ago that starred a bunch of liberals hunting conservatives in buttfuck Europe - was a fun but weird watch.

There is definitely a nepotism / who you know streak in Hollywood, all the shit Netflix shovels out year after year proves that but thats pretty much true in every industry. Competency rarely matters, its all about connections.

With the showrunner publicly turning down a second season without waiting to see if one was offered, you'd be forgiven for thinking Watchmen had been a ratings smash, guaranteed to be green-lit for a continuation. However, this wasn't quite the reality of the situation. According to TVSeriesFinale (via CBR), the ratings for the current television season put Watchmen only 8th in HBO's highest rated shows, behind the likes of Veep (6th), Big Little Lies (4th) and Barry (2nd). The continuing adventures of the glowing blue nudist did beat out His Dark Materials (18th), Silicon Valley (13th) and Ballers (12th).

So it's just an entire race of incompetent fuckups? Can't even kill himself correctly?
I think that was supposed to be a joke to the reader, that thinking of his son is what made him fuck up the suicide attempt. Like he briefly channeled Jar-Jar's incompetence. According to his wookiepedia article he was a very competent and successful whaler before his retard son came along.

What exactly is your point here? A show being top 8 doesn't mean it wasn't a hit.
