Actually the second TFA teaser had come out in April of last year. The full theatrical trailer came out in October. It's possible they won't release as many for the rest of the films as they did TFA because they were trying to restore fan confidence in the franchise and were nudging everyone along with more regularity.

Pretty much my thought on it, they have all the good will now, no need to spoil too much.

None of that looked new, just a recut of what we've already seen.
definitely not much new, but I think I saw 2 new shots and some definitely cleaned up CGI on the walkers. At any rate, with over a dozen TV spots for Ep7, I'm considering this the start of this movie entering more regular conversation.

Oh, neat; F14 Tomcat Space Version. In all my years of SW nerding, I've never seen that ship.

Not that this is exactly a relevant questions, when it comes to Sci-Fi and suspension of disbelief; but, wtf fuels something like that? There is essentially no room on that craft to hold fuel of any kind that we would relate to, considering the speeds and distances it can travel. Thinking too hard?

It's powered by midichorians. Just to make sure : space wizards ok, space ship with silly wings, not ok.

I've never really minded that they don't explain how things work in Star Wars

I think the the RPG books that talk about it all describe it as fusion powered for the star fighters and anti matter type drives for capital ships.

I do kind of have an issue with them creating new ships for a movie that took place IMMEDIATELY before episode 4 and never gets seen in the original trilogy. But whatever, minor nitpick. I hope this movie is good, it has potential to be the best Star Wars movie to date. Yes even over ESB, but they'd have to do everything perfectly.

That's explained away by claiming that different systems or planetary conditions or fronts in the wary had different needs for types of craft. Also, that the rebellion was fielding whatever they could get their hands on in many regards and just having some retrofitted stuff in a certain system didn't mean they had a whole fleet of them at their core force.

Pretty sure it is like the prequels. Meaning the "new" ships and walkers etc are actually older models that are phased out later. Even if they look cooler.

I feel like I am ready for media blackout on this. I don't want to know more. Rather go in blank slate.
