The salt planet, remember that one dude saying that it was salt after licking it? As if to tell the audience that it's not like Hoth because this is a salt planet.
Twitter baffles me. A major director attached to one of the greatest film franchises in history is out on twitter taking shots at the community. How is that even something you're paying attention to, how do you have time for any of this nonsense, and why are you continuing to inflame the fanbase?
I would if I watched it even a 1/5th as many times as I have the originals. I saw it twice in theaters because I just couldn't believe what I watched the first time and thought I missed something. I refuse to buy the bluray, or even give it another 2 hours on Netflix. It won't ever have the chance to be anything more than a memory of what a bad movie is.Try this exercise: Name the planet Luke was on. What was green titty milk creature called? Or the native inhabitants (assuming you remembered there were any). How about just 1 of the 2 worlds with a resistance base. Casino planet? What were the animals that Rose wasted time saving? What was the designation for the busted old ships they used on the salt flats? First Order's flagship? Do you recall if Benecio Del Toro's character ever said his name? Rose's sister?
"They" did a terrific job with TLJ and managed not to create any new characters, ships, aliens, or planets the least bit memorable. At best toy buyers got a new plushie critter that will be forgotten and never mentioned again.
Disney really wants to tank their next 300 million dollar film?
Would be interesting to see what someone like Shane Black would do with Star Wars
At this point it'd be an upgrade. No one needs another Star Wars Christmas.
To be fair, Mike Zeroh is terrible... just sayin'.Last Jedi Director Trashes Star Wars Youtuber Mike Zeroh Then Deletes Tweets
Idk why they let this idiot represent Star Wars
so, how many star wars films are there now? 10? how many would people consider good? 5? thats not a very bankable franchise anymore.
the biggest mistake was making the new ones with original cast members who are 60s and 70s. only Stallone could pull something like that off. Arnie and Harrison Ford failed to breathe new life into old characters. i think there was a chance with Hamill, they could have time jumped a few hundred years with all new characters and non empire threats and Luke Skywalker still alive training new Jedi. Those hack frauds at RLM had the franchise pegged when The Force Awakens comes out - there's just not much to do with the franchise. They're stuck with Jedi/Sith, Rebels/Empire, doomsday weapons, walkers, lightsabers, and the Force.
In Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home the crew slingshots back through time to try and find whales to bring to the present as an alien entity is destroying the Earth with whale sounds. The vast bulk of the film has no ticking clock and no villain. The entire cast has stuff to do. The movie was fun, well received, and is one of the highest grossing Star Trek films of all time. This is the same franchise that had Star Trek : The Slow Motion Picture where almost nothing happens and Spock flies into a space vagina as well as the very dark Wrath of Khan with all its literary references and brooding themes of revenge. TNG and DS9 were so different thematically they remain contentious to this day among fans. Those two shows were on at the same time for a couple of seasons.
Star Wars just feels so stuck.

nobody has reprised a role they took as a much younger person and made it work. cept Sly. i heard Patrick Stewart is coming back to Star Trek on TV after 20+ years, will be interesting to see if he could pull it off. This rings so fucking true. Stallone successfully reimagined several characters in their later years and made some solid action movies that were well recieved in this modern day.
Has anyone else ever done anything like that? Repeatedly? I guess ol' Sly must be a cinematic genius! They told me Rian Johnson was really smart too though...shucks..
When is Ruin Johnson going to talk about his father, Mr Plinkett? That would be hysterical ahahLast Jedi Director Trashes Star Wars Youtuber Mike Zeroh Then Deletes Tweets

it was definitely supposed to have a sequel, they teased Darth Maul in it as a future big bad. When is Ruin Johnson going to talk about his father, Mr Plinkett? That would be hysterical ahah
And Solo was supposed to be a trilogy? Are Disney execs that fucking delusional?
