Maybe for repeat offenders. I'm sure if he owns up and says why he did it (seems pretty obvious he was getting paid by his sponsor to keep those accounts high GM) I'm sure he'd be forgiven.

First off, I'd like to start off by saying that I do not deny any accusations mentioned by the OP.
And so forth...
I have never cheated in any online or offline tournament (and won't ever.) I did not make this decision to do what I did but agreed to it because it was a worthwhile venture at the time. A venture of which only began about two weeks ago.
I apologize for that.
I'm hoping ladder is not so important as to prevent me from participating in upcoming tournaments. I know I did wrong and learned from it the hard way. I hope that I can be accepted back even though chances of me of ever winning tournaments are pretty slim due to my age. (I'm getting old, fingers, wrist, and shoulder/neck affected after WCS)

He doesn't specify, so odds are he is full of shit. "I did not make the decision..." Of course he did. I sincerely doubt once you start hacking you actually get better because there are so many things you stop doing and it distorts your game. Hacking on ladder is inexcusable, it should be a valid practice environment.

Odds of him winning anything are about the same as Spades, but he was leveling accounts for cash and I imagine maphack helps with that. There should be zero tolerance policy against cheaters, because people wondering "could he be hacking" while watching online cups would drive viewership into the ground. Dimaga was banned for year and half from TL events for just wintrading during TSL 2 quals ...

Yeah but Dima was doing it to manipulate a tournament. Ladder holds zero relevancy for anything outside of Blizzard's invite tourny.

That's not true at all. He's barred from playing the game. Therefore anyone colluding to circumvent that would be dealt reprecautions from Blizzard. I doubt a tournament is going to try and fight that for a no name player.

Since when can you be barred from playing a game? They can ban an account, but I don't see any way they could prevent him from just buying a new copy

He's barred from playing the game for money, which is the point. He can buy a new account, but if anyone ever finds out it's him, and people WILL find out, he's banned again. You are banned from attending offline events, which is where the fame, money and bitches are at. If Blizzard ever does invites to WCS based on ladder rank, somebody will go through all the replays of those people, this community sometimes scares me.

I don't know if that was ever exercised, but they give licenses to tournaments so I imagine they can say no. Blizzard doesn't really have to do it though, you would be laughing stock for the community if you started having known maphackers in your tournaments.

What is leveling accounts for cash? So people can buy a Grandmaster 1vs1 account on which they'll lose every single game until they're relegated to silver?

Just reading the analysis outside of the fog peeks and clicks confirms how frighteningly .... obsessive? One has to be to be top tier. Like 3D star trek chess is round block in round hole simple in comparison. I managed to briefly hit top 50 in Company of Heroes with tons of practice. (Not that it means much, smaller community and less overall choices) which involves a lot of scouting and thinking about enemy plays. Guess SC2 just has so many more options or the timing of minute things matters so much more. (Oh noez he has built rax on 10/11 supply instead of 12/13 !111!)

Yeah, it's probably the most demanding game to play at the top level, which is what makes it so enjoyable to play, there is very little luck involved compared to other multiplayer games and you can't blame anyone but yourself for losing.

On a related note, I think I finally understand why zergs bitch so much about the game, I think I'm like 2-20 in unranked HotS with zerg right now and those 2 wins were ZvZs where I just went mass speedlings. And those games just feel so ... hopeless.

Ok, I'll see when I actually have time, though unless you finally start doing some pressure attacks instead of straight no gas expo I don't see anything changing.

I got some various replay packs from pros and I have some things I want to try out. It appears with the safety the MSC provides and the current meta of Toss to super greedy tech behind it that 1rax FE is kind of a dead build at the moment. Gotta do something to keep the Toss honest. Not like as a Terran I can try and out-greed your tech since I tech to .... Marauders.

I have pulled from various replays. Goody being one of them ^^

Although I did do a few TvPs after you told me to mine drop like an annoying fuck and both went fairly well. Still feel mine drops aren't a long term solution though.
