I only saw the second game vs Creator, but it seems like he just exploited the single colossus style that is so popular now while teching to storm, so his timing catches you with too few storms and single colossus without range.

I don't think it was a counter to the specific build because Creator only did it once I believe. Bomber did basically the same build all three games. I think Bomber just didn't feel comfortable going late game.

Well Creator was known for his 3 base timings as well as his end game macro. Might as well finish him off before he gets to the stage in the game he's good at.

I really liked Bomber's build. It is a bit different than most since generally you get 2 more raxes after your reaper+reactor but he just went 1 rax w/ a tech to get out his medivacs sooner instead of rushing stim+cb shields. May copy that.

Sorry to disappint Sid, but I played a few games on Habitation Station and while the map is really pretty, I think it's also really bad. Sure, those games were against AI, but still the map feels super cramped. There's never any space for bigger engagement, all access paths are like 3 FFs wide. Attacking from multiple angles sounds nice, but when you need to control whole map to do it and your units still end up funnelled through chokes, it's not very good. Make the map a bit longer, open up the middle and maybe put in an expo in the path of attack, basically anything that opens the map makes it automatically better. There's also a lot of dead space in the middle, might want to tone it down a bit. Top XNW is essential, remove it.

Just did some micro trick I saw bomber do today. Since in modern TvZ you generally have a ton of medivacs now I saw a huge wave of banes coming at my army. Double click marines, load them all into medivacs, let the banes explode on marauders. I thought it was sick.

That is actually most of the feedback I'm getting at the moment. I might just say fuck it and remake something fresh because having to widen the whole map to make the chokes bigger would be a giant pain in the ass. We'll see though. Thanks for trying it out.

You really can't use colossus effectively on island maps.

Templar defense against terran drop is key imo lol.

I've never seen the style of TvP exibited in the past few days of GSL but it is pretty apparent KR Terrans have zero interest in battling a Protoss on three bases. Once Crank firmly secured that third base YoDa did the pull. I can't really say why that is happening. Not much has changed between HOTS and WoL in TvP. I'm wondering if they feel that is the weakest point the Protoss is at since HOTS TvP is generally trying to contain the Toss on 2bases for a while with drops so once their third completes naturally they're at the weakest.

I'm not sure, the timing was really bad, because he had to know Crank was about to hit 3/3 when he pulled the SCVs, then he danced around for a while when it finished with crank throwing down a few time warps (which is insanely strong spell vs pulled workers). If he did doom drop into the main, because he lost like 0 medivacs until that point, I imagine he would do much better, especially when you can snipe a colossus or two walking back into the main and he wouldn't cannibalize his eco. I haven't been paying much attention to how koreans play PvT, but I saw Hero do his crazy micro tearing the Terran apart and then finishing it with chargelot/archon off 2/3 bases, but not everyone has that control.

Re: my comment on island map, it appears as this whole game is being balanced around the "you get your base and a natural then a bunch of other shit is out there" map template style, which really is a shame.

They've strayed a little TOO far from SC 1 in terms of "game for the masses". SC1 had goddamn expansions that were just ONE gay geyser, and you fucking needed that shit lol.

But fuck the bullshit.

There game's pretty safe as far as balance, but there's plenty of units and tactics that just aren't being seen, that's where we need the fixes.

There was one gas on every single base and every single expansion (ok 99%) of SC1 maps. You got 8 gas per trip in SC1 but you only get 4 in SC2. You're also pretending like island maps were ever used in true competitive play.
